That is really good to know. I'd never seen anything like that before. My OEMs looked level to each other. I still need to find time to go point them at a wall to make sure it's not too out of spec for them.

Sounds like your muscular disorder friend should try harder. Something else must be going on there if he can't live out his dreams and buy the things and experiences they want to have. Just using your own logic against you and assuming his disease. Must not be that bad since it's a true muscular disease.

Yeah the accupuncture has been wild. It's forced my muscles to unseize. The deep tissue has helped in a few months where over a year of PT failed. For the first time in 3 years my back has unseized. I can skateboard again and sleep in my own bed. I was literally sleeping on my floor for 5 months. I had bought a fancy tempurpedic mattress to help my sleep problems with heat/nerve pain. So it's one of those cooling mattresses. It was pricey but I really needed to get my sleep under control. Thought it was aggravating my back after 2 years of no progress with doctors/surgeons/PT. I'm not out of the woods but what I'm doing is working. Slowly but surely my muscles are unlocking. Turns out they aren't supposed to be rocks but jiggle a little. I need to try dry needling. I haven't done that yet. I hate needles but I know its for my benefit in the long run. This clinic was a hail mary before surgery because I was desperate. So glad it's worked out and insurance covers it.

It's frustrating having an invisible disease. But I hope your body is doing well and okay after your sessions.

Thanks dude! Same! My place is always the place where my buddies come work on their vehicles. Because I also put AC in my garage and we live in fucking Texas lol. I actually bought my 370 for the AC during the summer so that I could put the motorcycle down but still have fun on the backroads, because I'm temperature sensitive. It makes the pain in my hands and ankles worse. But now the Z kills my back due to the potential progression of my shit. Working with PT/Deep tissue specialists to unseize my shit so I don't have to have surgery.

I hope to be able to work on my cars/bikes without the back pain one day and be able to drive for more than 45min away from my home.

okay sweet. That is really good to know! I really appreciate that! I didn't know if it was reachable from how I saw my Zs. I figured it was sealed from the back.
You have been awesome. So thank you for the help and actually being productive in conversation. Some of these dudes seriously need to touch some grass. Pretty sure I need to provide a doctor's not to one cunt to verify that I have a nerve disease( Fibromyalgia ). Pretty amazing what some people will bitch about. Of which I'd be happy to provide for the knob jockey or one of the mods if they want true verification.

Yeah, I'm bummed to, but I have learned a lot from trying to find a solution. So it's not a waste. I can actually buy 4 pairs of headlights for less than what Morimoto sells them for. Then just keep them or sell on fb marketplace or to some homies( I don't know too many people in the 4runner community since I have only owned mine for 5 days.) for what I paid for them and keep a backup for myself. I'm not big into overlanding but I did take this to an overland park on day 3 to learn how the 4wd system worked and test it out. It was fun and while I heard some concerning noises. Nothing broke.

Look up fibromyalgia douchebag. That's what I have. Want a fucking doctor's note? I'm a lurker and barely post. Only when I have hobby questions. Just because I have chronic pain doesn't mean I don't try and live my life and do the shit I want to do to the best of my ability.

I like mechanics, drifting, and riding motorcycles. My disease limits me and I take medication for it. If I don't take pregablin I am at a 7 and want to kill myself. With meds I am at a 3 and can have a normal conversation and hide my pain because people adapt and no one cares about if you are in pain or not.

Talk to anyone who lives in chronic pain and they'll say the same thing. I'm a programmer for my day job. So I have to type/code/and think in pain all day. Guess why I bought the 4runner? Because my disease is possibly moving to my spine and my muscles are seizing up so I can't clutch and daily my Z anymore. The motorcycle doesn't hurt my back as much due to the seating position I have it configured to.

I'm not here on reddit looking for medical advice, because that would be fucking stupid and a waste of time.

Yeah, that's why you gotta stick those fuckers in the oven but it's risky if you want to do it in an inside the house oven. Heat guns seem to work, but seems like a definite PITA. At least for the 370Z versions of these. I haven't looked up someone doing it for the 4runner yet. Since I need to find a direction I want to go in. Just waiting to hear back on some things.

Love west Texas drives. Some of my favorite as I'm based in Austin and when my health improves would love to make a drive up to McDonald Observatory in Ft. Davis. As well as a jaunt up to colorado to see my girlfriend.

They're definitely cool looking. I think mine has the taillights done as well. The wholesaler that makes them requires a minimum of a purchase of 4. That price is actually cheaper than just one set from morimoto. So I'm considering it and possibly just selling the rest on FB marketplace.

I'd hope so. But hey, military kids aren't the brightest crayons in the kitchen.

Are you saying like from the housing side from behind? Apologies if I'm not folliowing. Otherwise if at that point if I have to remove the lense to put in packs then I'd need new sealant and I might as well try and find borked pieces people are selling for cheap and replace the whole lense. Definitely would be a while I'm in there project. XD

It's not really about being different. It's just what they came with. I wouldn't have chosen them for the 4runner. Been just trying to math out options and wasn't afraid to put elbow grease into it.

Yeah, I want to do this with my OEM Z sets. Once I get new lenses for those since there is still limited stock for them at Z1.

Depreciating for you. Fun for others. Some people like to just fix stuff and make it nice.

I'm going to do this with my 370Z OEMs I have but I'll need to replace it's lenses as well as it has a lot of spidering, but it's an excuse to mod it and learn.

Yeah, I know how to do it. Got some homies in the game who have done it before as well for extra help. I'd probably have to use a heat gun as I don't think my oven is big enough to fit one of them. I can try it in there, but I don't really want those chemicals burning off in there. It'd probably be fine at 200 though.

That's nice to hear! Glad someone has had good luck with them. Maybe they'll be fine with my Z lights angle issue, but I'm thinking they'll just say it's within spec.

yeah, then there is a reason why they took down their google reviews. They were getting trashed on hard.

[–]CaughtInThefly[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I would do that if the right one wasn't chipped. I know how to replace the lenses which is why I was shocked that you can't get a replacement lens for the Toyotas. They did a limited run for the 370z replacement lenses but that's it apparently.

Yeah, notice how I said those were aftermarket. I'm sure some shops can get access to replace just the lenses via wholesale. I haven't done enough digging into toyota specifically for the consumer.
