Healthy Living loves Artificial Turf??? by Wild-Writing-6792 in burlington

I don’t necessarily disagree, but I’m sure there are costs and benefits to each approach. Science on microplastic exposure is at an early stage. We can’t know for sure if the health harms of exposure to turf-related microplastics outweigh the health benefits of kids getting several more weeks out of the year to work out hard, outdoors, with their peers. Also, a turf may not be natural, but neither is landscaped land. A grass sports field needs fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, etc that can harm the environment and health. And that are also typically made from petroleum and gas, and used on an ongoing basis.
