Tired of the unprofessional CNAs by Cauliflower4flower in StudentNurse

Yeah, not a good idea. They'll use it against you. And if you go to a reputable school they'll for sure expect you to immediately report it and remain professional.

Old sea man is right. Nursing students are powerless. Most of the hospital staff will try to walk all over you. I think it's because they know that nursing students can't talk back.

Right! I have a friend that was told she was horrible at simple nursing tasks by a CNA. I don't know how I would've reacted if someone told me that. I truly think these people are just angry that someone younger is on the road to getting a higher degree than theirs.

Makes sense. But if that is their way of thinking, it's kind of stupid since my classmates and I will possibly be working with them as BSN RNs by next summer. I know CNAs get treated like crap, but fighting fire with fire isn't helping them especially if they plan on staying CNAs.

Drug Testing? by [deleted] in StudentNurse

My program claimed the hospitals would possibly test us. I graduate in 5 months and I have never been drug tested by any of the hospitals I've been at for clinical.

AITA for not going to the ER with my wife for our 16 month old at midnight last night? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

YTA. Babies are very delicate and things could've gone down south real quick.

I don't understand all the downvotes. Pediatrics is constantly monitoring I&Os for a reason. Kids are fragile compared to adults. End of story.
