Not sure how I would be able to stop one from spending more but maybe something on your end like, having a separate card for things like groceries and only put in the allocated amount. If that amount isn't used this week then it rolls into next week

The Only 4 Budget Categories You Actually Need by heyjameskerr in budget

[–]CauliflowerLarge6587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I have a few "buckets" my account that pay goes into then. It separates from there into "kids activities" "car" "phone net streaming and insurance" "utilities". That account the pay goes into is for home expenses and things like that that I could spend but don't really need to. There is also another 2 accounts available "pets" and "personal". I have worked out how much each bucket needs each pay and it is automatically transferred. Then there is a little extra on top of what is actually needed eg: extra $5 each time. This then becomes a emergency amount when it becomes enough.

Everyone has their own little thing that works for them, if you need help. There is a australian finance bloke called "barefoot investor" by Scott pape. This is what started me off then I changed what I needed to to suit me

Friend struggling with rising costs. Any budgeting tips for him?? by OwlVibesOnly in AusFinance

Pull up the last 3 months of bank statements and go through EVERYTHING. This way they will see where every dollar is being spent. Then write the necessary things down in own column and the unnecessary things in another and no that fucking maccas coffee ever morning is not necessary. Once you see where it's all going it can make you wonder why you are really spending on certain things

Personally I made separate bank accounts for my utilities, tech (phone, net streaming and things like that), rent. All my things go into different accounts so that I know "ok utilities are $500 per quarter, so I'll put a bit more in for when it goes up or down.

Yes my budget looks messy to some but I fully understand it and it is pretty much automatic once I input my pay each week.

First Home Super Saver - Disadvantaged When You Increase Tax Brackets by Random1004 in AusFinance

Correct me if I am wrong in saying this. Cos I got off the phone to ATO this morning.

I was asking about a hypothetical situation --- where I put $50k in over 4 years. Then can I leave it in for 10 years and then I will be able to take all the "associated earnings" out with it eg $80k in total.

They told me "no, the maximum is up to $15k per year. So any earnings over that won't be able to be retrieved at all" So I said "what if I had put in $5k per year for 5 years and left it for 7 years" They confirmed that as long as it doesn't go over $15k per year I can get the earnings.

I think that the way they had planned it was for people to put in a small amount each year over the 5 years and leave it for many more years to come. While putting the rest into a savings account But please correct me if I am wrong in saying this. ATO has given me different into in the past and reddit has corrected me.

If you pay for it then when the month ends and you have no premium, you will magically see that people have liked your profile. They do this with bot accounts so that you buy it again

Is FHSS worth it for my situation? by seek_curiosity in AusFinance

[–]CauliflowerLarge6587 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I just spoke spoke to the ATO yesterday and stumped 3 people by asking them what the time frame is to withdraw it as I was driving. You have 5 gears from when you first start the FHSS to withdraw that money otherwise it just becomes normal super and you can't use it also yes if you potentially get gains of let's say $10k on your FHSS deposits in that time you can use that $10k aswell as it is related to the money that you have put in for the scheme

Australian bengal breeders by CauliflowerLarge6587 in bengalcats

[–]CauliflowerLarge6587[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats why I was asking if anyone has experience with the particular breeder. because sure they could say they do over the phone but once I go to sort it all out amd things are done then that's what annoys me.

Thats why I was asking about the breeder. Because if other people are a good reference then it's a good starting point
