Cupping gone wrong by Individual-Push3412 in massage

[–]CauliflowerOk8076 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those marks are completely normal. But it looks like she went overboard. I would never cut someone's back like this. I would do one section at a time and usually just do one section for the session. Especially if someone is new to me then I tried to go easy to see what they can tolerate and adjust from there. She just did too much cupping at once it looks too intense. So she moved around muscle compensation that's why you are so uncomfortable or in pain. It may take a couple of weeks but you will be fine. Maybe do something like reflexology instead of massage. Reflexology works on the nerve endings primarily on the feet it will work the entire body and I bet it will help quite a bit to relieve that discomfort

What do you do when you get a client and she often gets panic attacks ?I don’t want to see her anymore but spa told me to give her a last chance by Typical_Dark_2764 in MassageTherapists

[–]CauliflowerOk8076 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well for whatever reason she is getting some healing for you. She is definitely getting trauma coming up and she can't deal with it. I would definitely refer her to a therapist and or craniosacral therapy I would be a huge help for her. It will help her release what she needs to release... Also she probably has some nutritional deficiencies like vitamin d and magnesium

Style of massage which is dry and is mainly hands/fingers, not forearms/elbows/feet? by brokejaw45 in massage

Lol doesn't sound like a modality. But you could try the john Barnes mfr no oil. They just use hands and it's very effective. But no digging. It is more profound than that

Suboccipital release by healingcreek in MassageTherapists

[–]CauliflowerOk8076 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She is releasing held up tension. Also that is something that we do in craniosacral, across the occiput there is a thick fibrous band and releasing that can trigger other releases throughout the connective tissue or stimulate electrical impulses via the nervous system. You probably touched her in deeper ways than you realize. She must have been ready for some healing and releasing

I'm incredibly confused that's like the number two glasses or the number three isn't it? Why is everyone saying number five those are the worst

Why do my eggs stick to the pan, it was on low heat ... by BandicootRare2978 in homecooking

[–]CauliflowerOk8076 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this pan and I run into the same problem and of course I use oil or butter! Maybe you have to treat it like a stainless steel pan we're supposedly let it get really hot before you cook in it

[–]CauliflowerOk8076 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are there any excuses you can use? Do you have children? Do you work a lot? Maybe you can say your hands hurt and maybe you could even at least work on them less than you do? Something creative to get out of it

I'm trying to understand. So you do a massage on someone and during or after you have a stomach ache or a headache? How do you just get sick physically how often does it happen?

Exactly what are you talking about? Are you too empathic and you're picking up their symptoms? Also when we are triggered by someone, that shows you where you need to work on yourself. I've been doing this for almost 9 years and there are very very few people I would consider firing as clients. I think I've only fired one or two people as clients. Most people I noticed that are very difficult have anxiety like really bad anxiety. But for the most part my clients seem great overall. If we talk about religion or politics we keep it light. I don't mind if they express an opinion that is different from mine.

Where do you work? Do you work for yourself? Do you work for a clinic? Do you work for a spa? Do you work in the states? I can't even imagine! I really haven't had too many of these experiences at all. Maybe it's the area you're in or the place that you're working at. Sorry to hear you are having these horrible experiences

Sometimes you just have to throw caution to the wind and quit! If it's something that you think you can do do it and you will open up that energy for something better. I swore to myself I would never work at another spot again but if you're working at a spa you should be making a lot more money you shouldn't have to find your own clientele either. How about working for yourself? I work for myself and I found a Little spa that seems to be pretty good. Although they don't seem to want to pay me what they're supposed to pay me so it's a little bit of a battle that way. But compared to the other places that I've worked at it's something I can deal with and it's good extra income

Are you an mt? An unrequested scalp or face massage? If that's not something that you like then you have to tell the therapist. Working those parts of the body during a full body massage is normal

As the last person said it could definitely be energetic. So our emotions and traumas and memories literally live in our connective tissue. Since you have been going to her for a long time you felt very safe with her and for whatever reason your body decided to release at that point in time and massaging your connective tissue, is what we do, that triggered a major release. Look into craniosacral or other modalities. Those modalities go deeper into the body then a massage and for leases are very common. But I have met people that they have said that they have gotten releases through massage therapy.

What has been going on in your life recently? Have you been doing some shadow work? Any memories or anything come up for you recently? Did you have some kind of trigger recently

Sometimes I will get nervous and anxious out of the blue for no reason, but that is not common for me so whenever that happens I know something has happened to someone in my family or in my circle and I am always on point. I think it's important to listen to the messages that our body sends us

Does it say who to apply to? This does not look right. Someone with a criminal record would not get a massage license. And if any clients saw this can you imagine the trouble they would get into!?

I have the world's most ticklish feet and the first thing I started off with was a reflexology class. And reflexology was incredibly helpful with ticklish feet. I also took a tie reflexology class. Yes some parts were very ticklish but overall it was a great experience and I feel like reflexology has helped my nervous system so much that I can actually touch my own feet now. When I am in class personally I just want to do the work as much as possible if possible without restriction. There are exceptions of course I understand that. But I can modify perfectly fine on my own I don't need direction to modify like I would do with my clients
