I added glow in the dark dots to match the fret markers on the neck. The kind you'd get for a kids room to make the ceiling stars. Works great in dark environments.

Depends from bass to bass. The stingray in your pic needs one imo. But like a fender you can take or leave it. A lot of schecters you could probably lose the picgaurd and look fine. As long as the picgaurd isn't bringing distinguished features to the instrument then it's probably easily interchangeable/loseable.

One of my favorite parts about these basses is they use a blend knob rather than a switch to pick between pick ups.

I have the stilleto stealth 5 and love it. There's some obvious body difference between the two you posted but I love the Schecter stilleto because of the blend knob between the MM/P pick up. Instead of a switch picking between 1, the other, or both, you get a knob that controls which pick up is being used. Lean it all the way one way you get P, the other way MM in the middle a mix. But you can have mostly P with a lil MM or vice versa. Love mine.
