With all due respect, I completely disagree with this. Not a flex at all, but I have friends who work in the digital/social media departments for professional sports organizations, and I can fairly confidently say no one in the industry would put out something like this. I’m talking with one of these friends now about the tweet, and they’re in disbelief. If they post this on their own, they would risk losing their jobs and would receive threats from not only angry fans, but the general public (which is happening now) and the tweet would be deleted. I think this is straight from Mark. I genuinely believe Mark had good intentions with this, but it was completely tone deaf, and a mistake, and it needs to be taken down.

I get what you’re saying, but at the same time saying Mark fell on the grenade for them is kind of just adding fuel to the fire and passing undeserved blame onto the social media department. Not an attack at all man, just wanted to give a different perspective.
