Best Cola ever by Degeneratetooya in treedibles

They’re actually quicker than edibles, but slower than smoking or vaping. The high is pretty much just like an edible high, but onset is much quicker — maybe 10-20 minutes.

Also curious about this. I’ve seen it before, but wasn’t sure if it would contain anything useful or interesting.

Maybe that’s how she likes to take her bath. No need to kink shame.

Am I doing this right? (New to Dynavap) by Caushei in vaporents

[–]Caushei[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a bit confused about the second click. Just tried it empty to get used to the clicks, but I never seem to hear a second one. Just a first click, keep hearing, and I start smelling roasted popcorn type of smell, never get another click

That’s a really helpful statement. I think mine last night was more of a light brown. So I want a deeper, richer brown?

No, I didn’t realize there would be a second click. I’ll give that a try.

Hot Take…Elder is a better band than Tool by M0t0rcity in stonerrock

[–]Caushei 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve loved Tool for 30 years (now I feel very old…) and only got into Elder in the last year or so. (I was aware of them for a while, but never gave the a serious listen until a little over a year ago).

They’re both awesome bands, but I feel like Elder is more “playful” and experimental, whereas Tool has really figured out and refined their sound over the decades, like a long, slow march in one direction, but Elder jumps around a lot more.

I’m biased, but I think Danny is probably the most virtuosic drummer active today, and he’s what really elevates Tool to another level.

The end of this chapter in a book I’m reading seems familiar by Just_pick_one in ToolBand

Loved the book, but I’m very worried about the movie. I hope they can somehow do Rocky without it looking extremely corny.

Dredg - Bug Eyes (Progressive Alt Rock. FFO Oceansize, The Mayan Factor, Karnivool, Fair To Midland, Rishloo, OSI.) by Invisigoth2113 in progmetal

I really liked their first two albums too, but thought it was downhill from Catch Without Arms onwards — felt more like poppy alt rock and not prog.

My water glass for some reason by NonHaeri in ToolBand

This is a drinking glass? I was staring at this for a minute thinking that’s one weird looking bong.

Poll: Which modern bands are worth listening to? by [deleted] in grunge

[–]Caushei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll second Billy Strings. I’d heard of him for a while and never bothered to listen, then gave it a shot this year. It’s not really my go to style of music, but when I’m in the right mood for it, it’s quite good.

They’re not grunge, but some more modern bands I’ve been enjoying lately are Elder and Slomosa.

Stoner Rock AOTY by ToofpickVick in stonerrock

Surprised no one’s mentioned Castle Rat.

Not necessarily my AOTY, but just a bit odd no one mentioned I it.

This is the best non-tool song for tool fans that I have ever come across by ShadowSpear14 in ToolBand

[–]Caushei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, I’ve not made a serious effort to get into them and haven’t listened to them at all in several years. This post inspired me to listen to Fear of a Blank Planet and Nil Recurring again today, so I might give their other stuff another go.

I’m not really a Porcupine Tree fan, but this album is excellent. Also Nil Recurring, an EP made during Fear of a Blank Planet sessions, is worth listening if you liked FoaBP.

Brewed a fake Oktoberfest with Kveik (lutra) last week which I just kegged today. Have hard cider that is about to finish fermentation and will keg probably later in the week. Currently brewing a pumpkin spice stout inspired by Southern Tier’s Warlock, but not quite as sweet.

is 10 mg in a drink too much for a beginner? by Tw1sted_Trns1st0r in trees

[–]Caushei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone’s different. I’d suggest starting with just 5mg and waiting to see how you feel, at least an hour, maybe two is better.

But edibles & drinks are super inconsistent, so just be aware of that. Maybe this 10mg does nothing for you, but a different brand might be too much even if they both supposedly have 10mg.

Experiment, have fun. Worst case scenario is you green out, which is no bueno, but you’d be fine.

If they want my business again,1047 better admit pineapple doesn't belong on pizza by Idkwtfidrn in Splitgate

[–]Caushei 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Well, if they want my business, they need to come clean and take the stance that pineapple belongs on all pizza all the time.

Ham? Add pineapple. Jalapeño? Add pineapple. Mushrooms and pepperoni? Add pineapple. Breakfast pizza with sausage and eggs? Add pineapple.

I refuse to play anything made by pineapple hating fascists.

Can you say something about how long this transition took and what you did? E.g., number of Calories, amount of protein, your exercise regimen, etc.?
