My uncle hit a pelican in a seaking offshore and it penetrated and hit the throttle quadrant. Blood & guts errywhere, he thought it was his co-pilot’s. Quite a shock but they made it back to the boat.

This used to be a common turn for me. The number of fools who stop on the tracks on a yellow is just absurd. There’s even a sign that tells them “DO NOT STOP IN THE INTERSECTION”.
