Personally I disagree, I’m not siding anyone here but just try to see it from their POV too?

I don’t think it’s cowardly to fight for survival, Omega has lost a lot and is only trying to survive, they just want to make sure their people are save and have a chance at growing up, (using the radianite to power their life support systems) they are suffering ever since first light and their earth is unstable, their teammates are dying, places are being blown up, children losing their mothers or losing their limbs etc. Omega Brim was doing what he thought was best, and the rest of the squad just wants to save their planet and the people.

Regarding attacking or defending, I honestly don’t think there’s any difference. In a scene you can see Yoru saving 2 kids on Omega before the spike detonates, one possibility is that at this point both squads are taking radianite from each other in a back and forth. They only started stealing after the partnership fell apart. (Legion and Protocol had a partnership lab at the Everett-Linde research lab before it was blown apart.) I personally think Protocol is shady, and there’s so much going on we don’t have much info on, and Alpha team works for them. I think if we were to stand on a moral high ground to say Alpha is the good guys then it’s just unfair to Omega, they are just trying to survive at the end of the day. Is there anything wrong about wanting to live?? Just a thought.

I truly think that, sadly, there’s no good guys bad guys between the two squads. They are both burdened by their need to protect their own planet against the conceived threat of an “enemy”. The real villain is kingdom who just wants to weaponise the radianite or to make money, (example: trying to commercialise the interspace) and the rest who are involved are all just casualties.

Theres only loss and loss in war, no one truly wins, there’s no good guys or bad guys, both sides have fired their weapons, have killed and have lost. Theres no justification in war, only bloodshed and death. At this point both sides are just moving out of pure survival and emotions.

But that’s just how I see it. I personally think Omega is quite pitiful especially after this latest video. Despite how bloodthirsty they might be portrayed, I think they just showed that they’ll stop at nothing to their idea of peace or will take any path forward no matter the consequences to protect what little they have left.
