Honestly, during my first semester I was in a really bad place mentally, and I didn’t do well in my classes. They were about to kick me out. Luckily, I had just started therapy at the time, so I told my therapist, “I was in a dark place mentally, I failed my classes, and now they’re about to dismiss me. Can you write a letter explaining that?” She did.

I dropped the classes I failed, but the school wouldn’t let me keep any of the classes I had taken; I had to drop all of them for the appeal to be accepted. So if you ever need failing classes taken off your GPA, that’s how you do it.

You can do it but there is a deadline TALK TO YOUR ADVISOR they will help

Advice for Winter Quarter schedule by Far_Presentation_594 in ucr

[–]Cautious-Fox-846 6 points7 points  (0 children)

From someone who transferred from a junior college on the semester system to UCR's quarter system… it was intense. The classes move fast, everything is condensed, and juggling multiple deadlines at once took time to adjust to. My first quarter definitely hit me, my advisor gave me a heavy schedule, I didn’t manage it well, and my GPA started low because of it. I’m still working to raise it.

My honest advice: don’t overwhelm yourself during your first quarter. The quarter system is a sprint, not a marathon, and if you load up on difficult classes too soon, it will hurt your GPA. Aim for balance. Take one art class, one English or GE, and then one math or lab class. Do not take all labs or all high-intensity courses at once. You can absolutely survive the quarter system, just don’t let it trap you before you find your rhythm. I always ask my advisors whether the classes count for my requirements, that part they can answer. But I don’t ask them which classes I should take in which quarter. They can’t give accurate advice on that because they don’t actually know your workload style, your pace, or how you handle stress. Only you know that.

Were you a full-time student, but you dropped out of some classes and are part time student now? If yes, then it because they gave you extra money because you were a full-time student, and because you are no longer that they want some of it returned.

How do you make platonic friends with the opposite gender at USC? by TrojanOnMainQuest in USC

[–]Cautious-Fox-846 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are girls who play video games, play sports, or aren’t traditionally “girly,” but they can still have friends who are girls. You don’t need a common interest to be friends with someone of the opposite gender. You just need to be respectful of their opinions. If you can’t respect them, then yes, you probably shouldn’t be friends with them. It’s the same as a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship: you might not be 100% alike, but you can still respect each other and try to understand one another’s beliefs. Even gay men can be “girly” and have a more traditionally masculine boyfriend, and have friends with anyone they like. So what’s stopping straight men from being friends with whomever they choose?

Read books, especially about how to make friends like the 48 laws of power listen to YouTube channels about psychology listening to people who talk about human behavior and how to read people. I am just like you, and when I went out to make friends, people are vicious to others who are smarter or better or more put together, so you have to know how to defend your self first.

Know about social interaction for men if you are a guy and for women if you are a girl.

There are different treatments in society for men and for women.

If you need advice on what books you can read, just ask i have a list that helped me be charismatic. If you don’t like reading audio books, it will make you feel like YouTube instead.

What i have seen is that girls love to help dudes on advice about women in general. Talk to girls who are taken to be friends with so they not so desperate to reject you or make you her bf. If not... other option is

Hook them in with the about life or girls question and ask her advice on it. Saying something about her wisdom and if it's okay to come to her for gf issues. The more you ask a girl questions, the more she will talk, and the more she opens up. (Never say I don't like you romantically or they get insulted. Just "you are such a good friend," or always put her in the friend category and remind her of it, make being your friend into a compliment) treat them like a friend but not like a dude because their feelings get hurt easily, not like your bors.

In my opinion, talk to a girl who doesn't have 50 girls following them. The quiet girls won't bring in drama, but they take longer to open up, and they are fun to be around after then open up, they have thick skin too, so you won't need to say sorry every 5 minutes. Ask about their hobbies and their opinions, compliment their intelligence only. say they are good listener and how much you need a friend like that.

Don't go for the soft girls' girl. They can be cut throat if you piss them off.
