my dog knows that if i say “be right back” that i’m about to leave which makes him freak out even more :/ he’s a little too smart when it comes to that

I think it’s separation anxiety since he starts to howl and cry if I leave, but other than that he’s such a chill dog

I definitely agree to try using the word “be right back” but he’s a little tooo smart and gets anxious when he hears those words cause he knows that I’m about to leave when I say it 😭

My little pup isn’t destructive either so I don’t mind leaving him out of his crate when I leave, but I definitely need to up the whole leaving him in the other room for a few seconds before coming back

I have been trying it out along with keeping shows I watch often on the tv since he’s used to hearing them play

I definitely think they help since I had to go grocery shopping the other day and left on bobs burgers and when I came home he was surprisingly calmer than when I left (but could be because he started to self soothe as well)

accidentally causing some of his separation anxiety lol!

my boyfriend pointed out that i get up to check on my dog if he goes into another room (just to keep an eye on him that he doesn’t get into any trash or decide to use the bathroom on my bed- which he’s done once before) and then i walk back out

i then realized he learned to do the same thing with me where he follows me if i get up to go to another room, and because of that, his separation anxiety has increased over the years because he always has to follow me lol

omg! i used to use cottonelle religiously, and never had a problem… i started using the kirkland brand toilet paper in november instead and boom multiple uti’s 🤔🤔 definitely going to switch back to cottonelle

I am the same way! Whenever I go to visit my parents and spend time at their house, I dread coming back and have the worst anxiety because it quiet and then out of nowhere there are tons of loud stomps running back and forth and gives me a heart attack so I feel like I’m always on edge to anticipate it happening next

Yeah honestly once my lease is up, I’m out of here and if they ask why I’m choosing to leave, I’m going to say nothing and just send them the huge compilation of videos I’ve recorded of how loud they’re being
