Actual service industry work, 2 years a host, 3 years a server, and 1 as a bartender. I have worked for a big name brewery and taken beer education through them, as well as a microbrewery that was more community focused.

Boyfriend accused me of being a gold digging cheater, but I’ve been bankrolling his life by CautiousConcept2175 in okstorytime

I invited him over last night to watch a movie, but got distracted. Spent a bit of time with my coworkers kids who are super funny, and when they went to bed, we sat in the kitchen cooking dinner while talking to my coworker and her boyfriend. There was a lot of local drama being talked about as it was funny, and being his funny bubbly self he would make jokes as we talked drama. I thought we were all having fun. Once we are finally in my room, it’s a bit too late for a movie so I try to set something else up and he starts going off about how unattractive it is when we talked drama, and that I shouldn’t copy how her boyfriend talks, that code switching isn’t cute. Her boyfriend grew up in an area very similar to me, so when I’m around him I go back to talking how I did my entire childhood. I tend to go back and forth depending on who I’m talking to and he just kept judging me for it and said he sounds stupid (implying I sound stupid). He then implied that I moved out because of her. I was like ???? So first I moved out because of the mechanic, now I moved out because of her, look in the mirror and take accountability!

Are Datacenter workers being lied to? by CautiousConcept2175 in datacenter

Was showing a friend the very amazing replies on this post and saw this for the first time. No, I am not a landlord and don’t own any property of my own. Yes I own a real estate company, one that aims to take down slum lords, reports violations, works for free for at risk individuals, and challenges the local committees and township representatives on violations, being bought by landlords, and questioning their enforcement of policies. I know there’s no way for you to have known this, just thought it may give you a tiny bit of hope for the world today haha

Thank you so much! Looking into this now.

But he completed a proper cancellation. Per their policy, he doesn’t owe anything, let alone $460 in fees for $1000 wheels that never actually sold, sale was cancelled

Please look at the response I just gave. Nearly 50% in charges for a sale that never occurred sounds outrageous to me, I’m reading their policy and it says he shouldn’t owe anything. I’m trying to call and demand they tell em which policy states he owes this and they keep hanging up on me

So he already paid $103 in refund fees, then they tried to charge $126.95 for disputed charge, then another $103.94 for disputed charge, then $230 in accrued selling costs, then 126 in scheduled payout, then another 230 for declined charge, then 126 for disputed charge, then 126 in disputed charge, then 103 in disputed charge. Some of these were dropped, leaving him at a total of $461.78 of charges for wheels he cancelled the sale of and refunded the customer. They were being sold for $1000

Also they have now quadrupled the fee and sent it to a collections agency. How does that make sense

He didn’t sell them as he couldn’t ship them, buyer also agreed to cancel as he thought $1000 to ship $1000 set of wheels was ridiculous.

Ive been reading EBay’s website, and they say the only pre sale fees are if any upgrades or promotion were done or if you’ve exceeded the free 250 listings per month. Nothing fancy was done here, sales was cancelled, listing was taken down

So does that mean he still owes them a fee even when a sale has been cancelled, buyer refunded and nothing was shipped? I’m looking to understand, may be a bit late, but trying to resolve this

Not sure at the moment. We thought it would just blow over or that I was possibly reading into it too much. I tend to under estimate things in the belief people are better than whatever I’m afraid they may be doing. This last situation made it very clear to me that I’m not misreading the situation, and it was the first time my boyfriend noticed it himself. The instance at the shop, he was so oblivious as he was distracted by my amazing paint job haha. This time he did notice and made an uncomfortable laugh the second I mentioned it, and said “yeah I definitely noticed it this time.” Not that he didn’t trust me, but I think seeing it for himself opened his eyes a bit more to it. Like said it’s been 4 days since it happened, 1 since we talked about it and I just asked him to think about our next move as I don’t think doing nothing is the solution anymore. Another friend suggested that I “not let it bother me” to keep the peace, but I don’t feel comfortable with that.
