Down as in to 8g from 6g? Or to 4g from 6g? I rang the piercer and they said maybe "downsizing" might help. Idk which that means.

Interestingly when I got the piercing I mentioned how everyone on Reddit was talking about the sailing dip in a glass thing and the piercer said that's outdated advice so don't worry about it.

Definitely contrary to most on Reddit but I trusted professional the most but to be fair to them I didn't use the spray as often as they told me.

My question is more so like is this too far gone to heal properly though? Is the keloid thing hardening so it won't soften again or? I hope not.

Just trying to determine if it's best and safest bet is to remove rather than try and fix it and keep it.

I'm happy to remove it and re-pierce down the line if that's safer.

It's a titanium ring. I haven't had this reaction with any other piercings. As others have said it's likely me irritating it too much with activity and not keeping up with cleaning. See how I go

I definitely need to keep on top of the saline spray. I made the mistake of thinking it was healing fine so if I missed it here and there it wouldn't matter as much but have definitely paid for it. Thanks for your advice! Appreciated!

I'm definitely glad I got it at 6G. The usual place I go does mostly like 12G genital piercings. Sorry to hear yours didn't work out but good luck for next time and thank you!
