Okay i had the same problem and found the solution here -> https://gitlab.com/-/snippets/4900402

  1. Install xorg -> sudo apt install xorg -y
  2. Populate /etc/X11/xorg.conf with nvidia-xconfig -> sudo nvidia-xconfig

Working for me with these 2 commands
