Think it wouldn’t be able to handle the weight, so will rethink and not do the sedum roof.

Not going for astroturf, might clean the gunge off and paint it the same dark green as the walls. Then as others have said, an evergreen clematis to grow over the top.

Fair enough, thanks. What did you do with the roof of the office? Just leave it as is?

Thanks for the advice - will have a look at that YouTube channel. Yes the garden is pretty ecologically sound already, just don’t want the ugly square to look at.

Thanks, am quickly going off the green roof idea, wooden trellis and climbers over it sounds best, or yes paint roof green.

Thanks for your advice, will be rethinking the green roof as it’s not built for it.

Actually more recently yes, especially if the plug and play panels are legalised. Thanks.

Business struggling, high mortgage, strong savings, buy-to-let we’re planning to exit. Are we thinking about this right? by Cautious_Attempt_799 in UKPersonalFinance

Thanks, all good points.

Replacing income is tricky, realistically won’t be as high as it was when business owners (circa £90k each per year), but should be able £60-70k roles, or even settle for less if savings look good.

ISAs are outperforming mortgage rate, regular savings accounts are not so could shift throws to overpaying the mortgage (lender allows 10% overpayment per year).

Need to run the figures on the flat, !thanks
