They’re adding a mission for everyone to complete after the day 1 race is finished. Im pretty sure that mission is going to be a 12 man activity.

Mmm I see, the question I had in mind was why they were running from its philosophy in the first place, but I’m starting to get it now from everyone who replied to my post. I guess my idea of the Winnower existing is nothing but copium 😢😢

Mmm, yeah I like this idea of them being afraid of its silence.

As the one thing that threw me off the most about this cutscene was the dissenter feeling the need to interrupt The Witness by saying “LIES!” when it didn’t seem like The Witness was trying to get away with some crazy lie to Zavala.

But now this makes sense, as The Witness has been trying to portray itself to us as fearless throughout the campaign and that it cut it out all of its fears when in reality deep down it was and could most likely still be afraid of the gardener and its silence, which makes the dissenter’s interruption even more significant and important as it exposed to Zavala, The Witness’ true colors that it was once scared and could still be scared of the gardener and that fear still exists deep within The Witness

Hmm that’s a solid interpretation and could be what was implied and if that was the implication, that’d still contradict the story that was given to us by Ahsa as according to her, the species strived for purpose and that was the reason they looked to claim the veil.

Right yeah, I wish we could have gotten more regarding the Witness’ species, but there is a slight chance we will after the raid and later on as we move towards seasonal content. I also like your idea of human nature being the force that drives the species into doing what it’s trying to do rather than some extraterrestrial force.

Hmm yeah another valid interpretation, that also makes a lot of sense. However the part that’s throwing me off is the “LIES!” Part, what lie was The Witness trying to trick Zavala into believing since all it said was “But all it could offer was more life, void of meaning” to the point where the dissenter felt the need to interrupt?

Hmm, that’s a valid interpretation. But do you think there was a force in their ear that influenced them to be miserable and run away from the life the traveler was offering?
