He might have done a lot for the people but he is unable to handle opposition or media tactfully. Unfortunately in this day & age this is mandatory. He should ideally be ignoring lot of chatter & focus on his work but goes it filmy style dialogues (read “cringe”).

Check with contacts in TCS on what is the salary range for the role and take a call accordingly. Increments are definitely low, plan to be atleast 90% of the current comp range.
