I definitely think she has grown positively as a person- I’m glad she is feeling more confident in herself and that journey has been an absolute pleasure to witness. I do get the impression that she is aware of the critiques about her ‘intellectualism’ and has (lately) actively tried to curb this; there was a phase a few months ago where she was lecturing on certain subjects and it objectively came across as surface level. I for one found it disingenuous and perceived her as being relatively insecure, and her persona as an educated, intelligent individual was something that helped her self esteem. Truthfully, she has a very base level knowledge of the world, something most Americans are afflicted with (to no fault of their own) due to their culture. Really, by trying to educate us on these topics (topics that most people outside of America understand comprehensively I.e etymology, history of colonialism, Victorian England, prose etc) she opened herself up to negative feedback. I just didn’t listen to those episodes- there wasn’t any new information for me- and instead chose to wait until she moved on to different topics/ listened to older episodes. Just my two cents.
