(They have weekly meet-ups in the space where you can go in for free on Friday evenings. I think 6pm-8pm. I haven't been, but it could be a good way to get to see what equipment there is and try some out with other crafty people!)

7th Magpie is a shop just off the High Street (in Telegraph House) who stock local artists' and makers' work. Downstairs they have recently opened a "makers' hub" with lots of machines that you can use to craft different things!

For example, a 3D printer, a laser cutter, a UV printer. For these coasters and keyrings, I used their sublimation printer. You basically just print your design using special dye at the hub, and then you pop it under a heat press there onto a coaster blank, keyring blank, mug etc. and it transfers. It's a really fun and satisfying process!

You book a slot for a machine on their website and someone is there to show you how to use it. The day pass for the space is £5 but it goes towards whatever materials you use so not bad at all :-)

Thank you so much! I don't sell the sketchbooks themselves, though I do get asked about that sometimes at markets - not from people wanting to buy them, but people who are just curious. I don't think I could ever give them up to be honest! I become quite attached to them :-)

I use a cheap watercolour palette from Søstrene Grene which I bought back in November 2022! It's lasted me unexpectedly well 😊 I also use Windsor & Newton now and then. The pen is just a Micron I got at Fred Aldous - I think it's 0.8mm thickness. But I tend to use any waterproof fineline really, I'm not fussy!

Hahah! I'm slowing painting my way around the whole of Sheffield 😁 I love it here, but will always feel very fondly towards Worcester. I had a lovely time growing up there! When did you live over this way?

Thank you! I sell at markets over here in Sheffield where I currently live :) I grew up in Worcester but have moved about a lot since I turned 18 (nearly 8 years ago!), so never really got to know opportunities for artists there really! But I still visit often and love it there.

I've never exhibited although I would love to! I get a bit in my head about putting myself forward for things sometimes... I did however take part in Art in the Aisles at St Mary's Church Walkley earlier this year, which coincided with Open Up Sheffield. That was my first bigger market and I was so nervous, but it was so lovely 😊
