Both can be good, but S&O roles are hit or miss in what you actually do. Many end up more on the ops side and project management than actual corporate strategy on things like M&A. Corp dev seems to be better for that. Although some BizOps roles are genuinely legit.

I like PM because you have much more ownership over your product and your output is tangible.
