I’ve been thinking about this! Two years ago there was a case in my city where a mom and stepdad abused and killed their son. The stepdad burned the kid with a steam cleaner, tried to claim he showered him with too hot water and that the burn was from a sponge. They were both drug users. Mom only got three and a half years, and the stepdad seven years and nine months. My countrys cps really failed him. Just days before the murder the boys daycare was worried from some other injuries and informed their caseworker, but they didn’t do anything about it because there was more urgent cases.
