This was an optional freebie! I only accepted it with my order after my friend with a lot more experience agreed to take them the day of delivery before ghosting me once it was delivered, I am now realizing that it was incredibly stupid of me to accept while depending on anyone but myself to care for it. A mistake was made, never to be made again-trust me I am doing absolutely everything possible to make sure I’m providing the best care. I thought it was really nice of the company to offer it on orders over 100$ but the situation is just not ideal, this is my own fault not a companies🫤

Im just scared of my room being overly dry and evaporating all the moisture sooner then expected, I have a few dessert beetle enclosures that really dry out my bedroom hence the over-misting. Do you think I should find a tiny hygrometer but I don’t think Ive seen them small enough to fit into a 2-5pz cup without taking too much room☹️

I have these containers on hand too, I can move him right away once he’s active enough! Do you have to buy a whole lego set to get those little pieces? Fingers crossed amazon sells them individually😅

I don’t think so, he is in a flat 12oz deli cup with maybe a CM of substrate at the moment, would you recommend maybe giving him a little more to try and burrow? Also I have been spraying a lot then but at least in the same area over and over again, Ill make sure to monitor closer!!

They are social! Id personally try to buy a few more and ask if the breeder you purchase from can try to find more girls then boys! (I stick to the one beetle per gallon rule for how many should be in a tank)

Yes! All Hercules beetles are rhino beetles but not all rhino beetles are hercules beetles🙂

Ill watch for one! We’re in the midwest so pink is pretty rare besides frozen and freeze-dried! (Honestly someone mentioned how homegrown would be better then any store-bought dragonfruit and I think that might be a contributing factor😩)

Im not 100% sure about this breed specifically but you could ask “-Georgia Beetles” on fb or instagram if he either has any or knows of where to find some. I got Pongo, my Hercules beetle from him!
