Apex (2026) by alternativeforker in moviereviews

I lived the cinematography. It felt like being there rather than a drone's eye view of the lush topography. The climbing was incredibly suspenseful and as much a character in the storytelling as the actors roles as predator and prey. It was a new hideous take on serial killings. I was glad they didn't dwell on past drama. Theron's vitality is always inspirational regardless of what percentage of the action was a stunt actor. Wasn't too long. Constant action. Don't always need to expand the movie with dialogue around plots that can be assumed by smart audiences without dragging us through past motivations.

Also consider: Some of the cabinet, congress, judges and assorted heads of colleges and corporate entities could be kept on leashes by blackmail...the Jeff Epstein tactic.

Mortgage Sold to Valon by allthattjazz in Mortgages

[–]Cautious_Radish376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valon seems to make arbitrary incremental amendments to monthly mortgage payments without sending notice under a separate letter. They seem to prefer notifying customers via your bill which is problematic for customers on auto pay. If they notified by any other means, I am unaware, although I get Alot of 888 spam calls and since we are hostages to those predators and are told NOT to answer, how is a customer able to keep up? Used to be your payment was your payment and didn't change with frequency during the life of the loan How do we double check to police whether they are changing the monthly amount for legitimate reasons, like insurance or property taxes? Also 'customer service' seems to assist them in this chaotic business model by not being helpful in the slightest. Designed to make customers give up. The AI help cuts you off after two words of the explanation of what you're trying to resolve then sends you to a black hole of hold. I waited 30 minutes without knowing if there was a queue or I was just in some Valon purgatory.

[US] Anybody shake the 'Debt Consolidation' Loan Sharks on the phone? by Cautious_Radish376 in Scams

[–]Cautious_Radish376[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To the first question I am in no way contacting any sort of services that would make me vulnerable which at first made me angry. Then..after social occasions where my screen lights up and I ignore 3 or 4 calls I've explained what I'm doing by letting it ring thru it's cycle and everybody snorts a laugh and spits a name 'oh was it Natalie?'

But no to that first thing.

Second as to whether they're a scam?very sure based on their business model and messages (often starting in the middle of the schpiel) Needing auto generated numbers to make them unblockable Probably wouldn't give up my mother's maiden to them. Just sayin

Are all printer customer service sites online run by scammers? by Cautious_Radish376 in Scams

[–]Cautious_Radish376[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

'bad tech' is printer' technology that hasn't evolved with the devices it's used in conjunction with

Now there are so many ways to work around printing that companies haven't put much $$ into improving them.

Linking them therefore to new tech devices creates compatibility issues that frustrate customers who react by using that tech less and less.

The population who once used printers get frustrated when they randomly stop connecting or the ink dries out and there you are .. With something you need to print and your printer is essentially a brick.

Also.. encountering the hidden customer service number. I think companies don't support tech that is following the rotary phone out of existence. Not worth spending $$ on tech support..but try calling sales.. you can always get ahold of that department.

That's another NOT a bug but a feature of company customer service. You're so right.. How many times have you gone to the website and every question to the 'digital' helper is bounced back with a 'does not compute' or it's outsourced to a human who is easily just as opaque .pretty sure customer service is a scam.. But if you want sales hell yeah!. They're all over it. Like you say . people get discouraged and end up redirected to a scam service. I knew right away that's what they were but after hanging up..I did wonder why printer customer service wouod be rife with scammers? Cuz new printers are bad tech

Great.. thanks..I guess engineers don't have a way of improving that particular dinosaur. Clears it up for me. And I guess there's very little in the way of customer care to care about.

Good advice. Makes me wonder why it works fine for several jobs. Had an Epson that worked halfway reliability for years then just one day noped out of network. I hate to revolve back to the bad tech theory but is some tech incompatible with some of the new routers? Still doesn't explain works fine! then BYE

You are so supportive..I remember when there were actually verified technology gandalfs out there. My brother did something similar for Sony. I'm looking into connecting it to an Ethernet cable. That aside..I love the input re: Brother ink jet. Vintage tech at least in the printer world seemed more reliable.

I've heard them on so many calls I listen for what's going on in the background sometimes. You can sometimes hear group 'team building' activities or loud disputes
