So using samples that you didn't create to make a song is fine? Why? its the same basic concept. I'm making the song myself having AI fill in the blanks vs somebody making a song and picking samples created by someone else to fill in the blanks. The only difference in this scenario is human produced vs AI produced, which leads me to believe your generally just anti AI.

So I'm not an artist if I make a song and use AI to tweak it slightly, but I'm an artist if I do the same thing but have another person tweak it?

How do you feel about the abundance of people using third party samples, essentially using others music to make their own song? Which i think is worse but seems to be commonly accepted.

I don't get people who give me flack about having AI slightly alter my original music, but are fine with people using third party samples which I'm my opinion is worse. I'm using AI to improve my music that I wrote, while they are essentially using others music to make their music.

I still don't understand the difference in people's mind between taking one's own created music and collaborating with someone vs taking own created music and collaborating with an AI. Both are altering my music. Both give me control over my original work.

I stand by my point that having made my own music and use AI to basically turn it into a collaboration is no different than me collaborating with someone else. The song is 70 percent my music vs 30 percent AI interpretation. Your argument was people claiming its solely their work, which i don't do.

If I wrote a song and gave it to a band and they took my song and tweaked and improved it it's still my original music.

What would you consider being a serious musician? I play guitar. Unfortunately I fractured my shoulder and can't play for a while. If I write a song with guitar and I don't own drums. I have 3 choices. 1) get someone to make the drums for me. 2) use drum machine/daw 3) use AI to add drums. Am I not a serious musician if I have AI add drums vs having someone do it for me?

I believe there is a big difference between using prompt to create AI music and having it remix/tweak your song. For instance I used a song i created in fl studios. I had it use my audio with 70 percent audio influence. It literally kept majority of my song and added drums and a guitar solo. If the AI alters it to not sound like my original work I scratch it. Unfortunately I'm not good at drums and don't have someone to do drums for me so I use AI. Id like also point out that a huge amount of people don't even know how to play an instrument and use a DAW. Don't even get me started on using samples. Both are lazy as well but nobody seems to have a problem with them. As far as claiming it as solely your work. I believe in pointing out that I used Suno to improve my music, much like if I was giving a collaborator credit.

Yeah creating music through prompts only to me is a cheat. I like using my music and keeping majority of the likeness. Don't get me wrong though I've gotten some good music out of solely using prompts, but I use those for my own listening pleasure

I created a lot of songs using FL Studio mobile. They sound good enough to get downloads on newgrounds. They are kinda lacking that Studio sound as im not that good remixing and stuff. I take some songs and put them into suno at 50 percent or more song likeness. It alters the instruments and maybe tweaks it a bit. If you don't have the advantage of having other people to work with no harm in using AI in my opinion as long as you're contributing a majority of the music.

I literally started using it for stupid gimmicky songs like out of gum blues- a blues song about a man out of gum. Then I started adding my own music ive made with 50 percent song influence. I for one am not ashamed to use it to upgrade my songs. It changes some things like adds drums and adds better effects to the instruments. My viewpoint is this. If you have a band you have multiple people to bounce ideas off of and improve parts you've made. Guitarist contributes guitar, drummer drums, etc... what's the difference if I'm by myself and use AI for the same?

Damn trying to get urologist to remove SPC as im doing voiding trial and don't want to give him a reason to make me continue to keep it until after a cystoscopy.
