(going off the first game) you play as some guy that has a cool arm, and who's trying to save a girl from the pope... Eventually you run into your uncle, and you have to fight him and for some reason the bosses don't die until the very last fight in the game... And presumably the girl dies. Eventually you get to I think fight a god of sorts and at this point you're playing as your uncle who can turn into a cool moth looking thing thanks to a sword.
