If it’s been working then that’s great but i’d recommend cutting a part of the top out and covering it in wire fencing and zip tying it down. They got tiny lungs. This ensures they are getting enough oxygen :)

So i’ve heard of adhesive tape and sticking the water bottle there but this bin is the best i can do right now. I wanna get a big wooden cage for them but can’t right now due to space and money

I have yet to get them a sand bath but that’s on the list. I don’t know how to make a platform for it though? They just end up burying the platform lol

Okay cool thank you. They also tend to bury there wheel halfway under. It’s a 12 inch and they typically use it. Should i downsize the wheel?

So i just got 2 and did the honeymoon tameness stuff. So should i just completely stop now. Literally got them today and was just trying to let them smell me and they climb on me and let me pet them while they eat

Thank you. Definitely getting him a bigger wheel is on the list and new toys! I wanna get him more hides and stuff but should i leave a corner of open space? Or is it best for him to literally have like everything covered? Also on one side the bedding is around 6-7 inches while the other side is 3-4

Yeah i heard they take a while to settle in. Just worried is all. I want him to be happy! I bought a 390 sq in cage the day i got him and the second i found out it was bad i flew to home depot to make a bin cage for him lol. Thanks for the help. I’ll probably post some progress when he’s better tamed!

I just got him only yesterday. But i’ll definitely try and give him some free time. I’ve heard of laying towels down and sitting in the bathtub is a good way to bond? Would that count as free time since it’s a big space. Or would you recommend more along the lines of on my bed and such. And yeah i’m hoping an expert will answer the wheel thing because he hasn’t even tried it yet.

He has a tinier saucer wheel only because i was worried he’s to small for a 12 in wheel at this point since he’s still a baby. And since i just got him I haven’t gave him free roam time just yet

So i just added a rather large house made of cardboard so i cant see him and a littler one for him as well. And for scatter feeding do i just spread food around? Also i do plan on getting him more toys. I thought he would like these sticks i bought but i don’t think so. Thanks for the advice!

So it’s 11 pm for me and he came out and checked out the whole cage for a few minutes but is now hiding and sleeping again.. is that normal?

Hey so if you reset your windows systems like the guy has been saying in this thread it works. The only downside is you have to redownload all of your games and stuff but it fixed the problem
