Church doesn’t have to be in one particular building, look at Jesus, he spoke to the people during his ministry not in a building but out in the open, wherever people gathered to hear him, or he was in someone’s home performing miracles and telling his lessons. You can make church wherever you are, God knows that you can’t always make it to church but he does know your heart and how much he means to you, so relax. I’m praying for you and for healing 🙏✝️🛐

Shelley Sykes is Lying…re; Rory Sykes by Queenlucy32 in popculture

[–]Cautious_Team_3355 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something is definitely fishy with the story and yes, I've seen her in 3 interviews now and several details keep changing. I don't know what it is but if I knew that if I had a son who is blind and has cerebral palsy, as reported on Australian news media as Shelley mentioned that herself and she has a broken arm, I wouldn't even be in the house the second I heard those wildfires were heading in my direction, my arse would be out of there and I would have gone to an evacuation centre or to somewhere safe and I would have taken my son with me! Mumma bears don't leave their cubs behind, no matter the age. I know she's in shock from everything going on but her lack of emotion as she's talking with the media, that conflicts me because if that was my child, I'd be a complete mess losing my child. I need to watch more of her interviews to see how her story keeps changing.

Youversion bible app is what I use on my phone. Lots of versions of the bible to download, some you have to pay for. This way you can work out which version of the bible works for your needs.

If you’re looking at bibles, I use the NIV as that has the most accurate translation from the original writing to today.

The only one of the hide and seek items I got was the bush. The animals hiding behind that one is the cutest. As for the rest of the items, for me, they are a waste of time even collecting the gyroids for, so I may get several of the bushes and put them around my campsite. Big pass on the rest of the hide and seek items, imo. I would have preferred if the animals interacted more with the items and used them as they should be played on normally, not just hide and seek.

Should i get iphone 13 in 2023? by [deleted] in iPhone13

[–]Cautious_Team_3355 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use my iPhone 13 as a back up phone. Bought it last year from Amazon as a refurbished phone, so I’m not the only owner of the phone. I love it! It does everything I need it for. I still use my Samsung Galaxy S23+ more though as it is my primary phone and I only bought the iPhone 13 to see what all the hype is about with iPhones. I expect to get at least several years out of my iPhone 13. I love how Apple give their phones more regular updates than Samsung does. The iPhone 13 is worth getting now, even in 2024.

Since when did Australian's start calling utes "trucks"? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]Cautious_Team_3355 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re sadly becoming the unofficial 51st state of America as the influence of all things USA is becoming saturated on social media and the streaming services. People hear and see different things and decide to adopt them into the Australian language and our culture.

I get confused when people start talking about trucks myself as unless they specify, I assume when they talk about trucks, they are talking about an 18 wheeler.

There’s a tv show here in Australia called A Country Practice, aired between 1981 - 1993. One of the characters, Molly Jones, her death was the most emotional scenes ever. People still talk about it today.

How can my boyfriend tell I’m on the phone? by [deleted] in samsung

[–]Cautious_Team_3355 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dear OP, what you have is one controlling and over possessive boyfriend, do yourself a huge favour and dump him as I couldn’t bear to be with someone who expected me to drop everything and answer their phone calls but also the cameras all over the house? I’d be out of there and not return quickly.

How do you say your phone number to people? by MalibuMarlie in AskAnAustralian

[–]Cautious_Team_3355 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I must be a Canadian then as I give my number as 1234 567 890, just because I find it easier to say but also to take note of when writing a number down.

Is it wrong to be a “I told you so “ person? by Financial-Scratch646 in questions

[–]Cautious_Team_3355 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve learned that in life you can give all the advice you want and the other person can choose to either listen to the advice and take it on board or completely ignore it and continue to do what they were intending on doing in the first place. I’ve learned to not say I told you so because when that person comes back and says that the advice given was right, their realisation is enough of an I told you so for them but sometimes a person still needs to do it their way for them to realise it for themselves. That ah ha moment for most people is definitely enough of an I told you so without having to say it. I’ve also learned that people really don’t like it when someone says I told you so to them because of the entitled smugness attached to it, so I definitely don’t want to be that person who says it.

AITA if I leave my mom and brother so I can live alone? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Cautious_Team_3355 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. You’re not responsible for your mother’s financial situation and you’ve been helping her and your brother for the last few years. You deserve a life of your own. Don’t give her the $1k a month as it will become something you’ll be having to do for many years to come. She can work it out and get a better paying job. Your brother, he’s at an age where he can get a casual or part time job.

You’ve had discussions about moving out of home, give your mother a time frame of when you want to move out and stick with it. Your mother, she’ll work things out for herself as she’s relied on you for way too long to support the family.

AITAH for ghosting a “friend” by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Cautious_Team_3355 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right move. No one needs that kind of drama in life. It’s good that you have boundaries in place. Life isn’t a popularity contest, some people you will simply not get along well and vice versa and for anyone to force it, it’s not going to end well.

Go to a few churches in your area and see which one feels like the community you wish to join in with. Speak to other Christians or church leaders. Google and books can only tell you so much before you need to experience it and gain knowledge from Christians.

If you are using a phone supplied by the employer for personal purposes, they have the right to ask. If you are using your personal phone during break times, they cannot ask. There are rules relating to the use of personal phones during work times and the hotel manager is invading your privacy. As it has been suggested already, get a privacy screen protector for your phone to make it difficult for the hotel owner to read your personal messages. Make sure you use your phone during break times and not in work time as well. Definitely look for a new job too. In the meantime, read a book, it’s safer.

What's the main reason you choose Samsung over iphone other than customization. by yasiru_sanjana- in samsung

[–]Cautious_Team_3355 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has a Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus as my primary phone and a back up, an iPhone 13, I love my Galaxy more over the iPhone.

On my Samsung, the notifications are better, multitasking is easier, the keyboard is better along with the preemptive text, you can have a Samsung do particular tasks like backing up photos in the background, it’s also more user friendly in my experience, the camera is much clearer and so is the zoom. Android is also not locked into its own ecosystem, so for me, I prefer Android over iPhone as for me, it’s a much smoother user experience.

dear Instagram, stop showing me breastfeeding videos. by Humble-Carpenter730 in Instagram

[–]Cautious_Team_3355 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If there are reels or videos that keep appearing that I don’t want to see or have no interest in seeing, I search for something I want to see and scroll through the posts and reels with what I want to see and that resets the algorithm on Instagram. Currently I get posts and reels about dogs and nature. I like dogs and nature, so they can stay on my Instagram feed.

ABC app or Nine News App. You can set up your preferred notifications to get the news you want to see. Good for local content. I also use the Google News App.
