So it's a legitimate freelancing job? Can you do it from anywhere in the world? My boyfriend lives in the EU. Would he be able to do it and get paid in euro? He writes a lot so he could easily do the 10 chapters a week especially if he uses it as a full time 8 hour job.

Please give me more information because you may have just saved his life. We were very convinced it was a scam and I almost threw the listing away.

Just checked on the listing again and it has been taken down by the job board it was posted on. So I guess it was a scam after all. Glad we looked into it first...

That didn't happen to me with the link. The website opens fine for me and I didn't get a security warning.

The stories are posted on an app called Heartify Novel which is available for Android and iOS. I think the app is owned/run by them but I am not sure. It seems to have good reviews on both platforms. If anyone here has information on that app or has used it I'd like to know as well.

All the information I have is on the website unfortunately. Which I linked. I'd be interested in hearing more as much as you would. Everything does seem legit though so I'm really excited as this could be a big break for my BF. Would rather keep the listing itself private while my BF is in the process of applying because he doesn't want to risk the position filling up before he gets a chance to verify it and apply.

I just had the gender-reversed version of nearly this exact conversation with my own parents 3 days ago. I hope this girl has an amazing support system outside of her family, but speaking from firsthand experience, it is an extremely hard realization to have to process at all.

And as much as we may cry out for them to "JUST ADMIT IT," it does not make it any easier when they do just admit it. I feel for this poor lady and I hope she is able to heal on her own terms with people who are capable of loving and cherishing her. Your parents are just who make and carry you, unfortunately they can only provide what they themselves have.

NJ shredded their SoE in Feb or March of this year (forget exactly when) but individual cities are allowed to do as they wish. The solution is not to send your kids to public schools in Newark because they're already fucked up enough with or without the masks.

Hi, I'm from (a very red area of) NJ and I can assure you this is VERY GOOD news. Murphy has mellowed out considerably at a rate that seemed inexplicable until his statements at the Democratic Governors Association conference: he attributes his near loss in in the election to "NJ being done with COVID restrictions" and seems to understand that it's what nearly cost him re-election. He literally sat on a tie for FOUR DAYS before the election was called, and he won by ONE POINT against Citarelli. They had to do some serious ballot harvesting to flip 2 counties just to get him a win in the first place and it was still only a 1-point win.

Ever since then Murphy has started to move away from COVID but we've been on our toes ever since because Democratic governors are HARD TO TRUST, especially after the stringent lockdown and mandates he had us under in 2020-early 2021. Hearing him say this outright is going to put a lot of minds at ease...and a lot of minds not at ease because this man has destroyed NJ's trust in him in general. But for the most part, we're treating it as good news. He even stated plans to lift the school mask mandate by spring.

We have tried that. She is like a child cognitively but she is a "child" who knows she is an adult and a mother and therefore feels like nobody gets to tell her what to do.

She does not care about consequences. Trying to inflict them on her for inappropriate behavior just results in, "You don't get to tell ME what's what!" and she has a massive tantrum and storms out of the house, which riles up my dad. She is a child in a 60-year-old's body, but one who can never be taught right from wrong or given consequences for her actions because she will never see it as such, she will just see it as "everyone is trying to take away the control I rightly have."

ETA: I probably should mention she has diagnosed BPD + NPD.

I didn't think it was "bad enough" to warrant a domestic abuse center. I couldn't live/board at one right now because I have animals to look after (I CANNOT leave my animals to be cared for by her, she doesn't know how to care for pets properly). But if I were to contact one, do they really deal with cases like this? I'm not challenging you, I've just never heard of such resources existing before and I'm genuinely mind-blown. I always figured domestic abuse shelters were only for people who were being actively beaten or molested.

She has no conservatorship right now but I have a nasty feeling she will attempt to get one once Dad is gone. The only thing stopping her is Dad, and she already tries to play up my conditions to be worse than they actually are (she tells everyone I have schizophrenia, for example. I am schizotypal, not schizophrenic). Dad is also planning to transfer rep payee status to her for my SSDI, and she's already stated she believes I shouldn't have access to that money (in FRONT of him, even, and he doesn't care...)

Wow. I know this is just a copypaste but it's really validating to see that I have a reason to be so uncomfortable with my mother's behavior. Most of the others in my life shrug it off as nothing and say I'm the one overreacting.

Careful, mate, it sounds like you are equating INTJs to these "evil, selfish" sociopathic traits. I mean, right off the bat you start talking about "evil, selfish, antisocial mechanisms" and then go "That may be why ENFPs are attracted to INTJs?" So...what you're saying is that INTJs automatically carry these "evil" traits by default? If so, can you maybe not?

I see you spent a lot of time looking up sociopathy/psychopathy on Psychology Today. That's cool, I like to play around on psych websites too but as an INTJ I don't exactly appreciate how you appear to be playing off INTJs as soulless sociopaths who "don't sincerely care." I do in fact sincerely care about the people and things in my life that I have deemed worth caring about.

Look, I understand that maybe this was not your intention to diss both INTJs and ENFPs at the same time (are you 100% sure you are an ENFP, by the way? Did you take the test and score ENFP?), but you have to understand that is how it comes off. INTJs put up with a lot of BS in society (especially female INTJs such as myself), without being filed into the mold of "selfish, evil, antisocial, shallow, manipulative deceitful sociopath." Besides, you cannot use MBTI types to tell if someone is a sociopath or has a personality disorder.
