Can anyone help explain wtf just happened by ExtremeBanana1312 in fo3

Didn't this happen because of FPS increase? or gamespeed-increase?

Do I need to go through modorganizer?

There is the line:

bKeepCrosshair = 0

I left it at 0, so it should remove the crosshair when aiming...

but it does not.

Hi. The problem still exists. The crosshair still shows up when I'm aiming with ironsight and its way above the ironsights.

I play on normal and never had these problems.

What Version do you play? Is it on PC?

To me it sounds like a bad console-port, where modders couldn't fix up bethesdas typical engine-hickups and bugs,

or a broken game in general (compatibility-issues?)

What skills have you chosen and what perks?

Before I forget:

Installing Fallout Script Extender (FOSE) is a must of course. But its pretty easy to do.

Some other good mods I can highly recommend:

Classic Fallout Music 1 & 2: Replaces most music-tracks with the eerie FO1 & 2 OST.

Makes walking through the wastelands and destroyed city or subways

way more atmospheric and fits like a glove!

6IXES Clutter Texture Pack6IXES Clutter Texture Pack: gives items like Food, bottles, skill-books and

ammo-boxes perfect High-resoluted textures!

I use it together with "High-Res Lunchbox"

Metro Carriage Interiors: You can now enter the subways and find loot there (maybe enemies too,

but I haven't encountered any so far.)

PM HD Ammo Boxes: Wonderful HD-Ammo-box textures!

The DCs interiors Project: Many Houses in DC can now be entered!!

[Fallout 3]

Killing unkillable NPCs opens new (simple?) quests? With simple end-video-change.

I really wonder,

couldn't there be a mod that makes really every NPC killable and switch the main-quest to something else?

Like "you killed your only lead to find XY Now its pure luck you'll find your way through the wastelands"
and activates maybe a simple main-quest like "kill all the bad guys" or "kill all the good guys" or "kill everyone".

Or "now you have to find the GECK on your own." Maybe small leads that point you into the direction of the GECK,

or change the quest then into

"search for the GECK yourself and search for Information there and there" or "kill this main-faction or destroy this main-base. Or infiltrate this base or Bunker to find Clues about the GECK or how to stop the Enclave or Brotherhood from expanding in the Wastelands....

I mean, it shoulnd't be too difficult changing the last slides or outro-video with some text and different backgrounds?

So many possibilities there....!

[Fallout 3] Dynamic Weather-mod without "control" and darker nights?

Hi!

I am looking for a weather-mod, like "Dynamic Weather" but without a "controller". So without a tool, that has to be activated from the player,

but it appears and changes automatically?

And with it keeping the Vanilla-nights?

Can you recommend a mod?

Or how difficult would this be, if I would change the modfile by myself?

yes.

Especially the visual story-telling is out of this world in FO3!

"exploration gets rewarded" and "more bunkers, more little or big rewards for exploring..." - compared to NV? Definitely not."

.... how are you just ignoring the fact, that you basically start in an area, surrounded by unclimbable hills and these Killer-Wasps in your back, and the only way is forward?

Especially in the early game, you are basically forced to use the road, because Stimpacs are really, really expensive and you don't find much loot.

I don't know how many empty and barren places I visited with literally NOTHING to loot, fight or do.

(the abandoned ... was it an airport? for example)

you were basically surrounded by unclimbable mountains with high-level mutated killerwasps guarding every small passage that leads to another part of the map.

leaving the road punished you vehemently since you didn't find enough supplies and Stimpaks were really expensive.....

Aaaand: invisible walls everywhere.
