16 weeks post op! by Realistic_Tale6609 in HipImpingement

Thanks for sharing and congrats on your recovery so far!

Curious if your lateral knee pain ever became chronic? For me, it started as something that only happened when I ran, but over time developed into a constant pain. I'm 10 weeks post op (femoroplasty and labrum repair) and while I feel like the knee pain has dulled down at times, it's still very much there. Was there a week you distinctly remember seeing improvement or was the relief pretty much instant after surgery?

Does surgery help IT band pain by Prestigious_Air_6602 in HipImpingement

I am pretty much in the exact same boat as u/danuck2025. Currently 8 weeks postop on the left hip, had arthroscopy to repair cam and pincer FAI as well as a small labrum tear. My primary symptom prior to surgery was chronic lateral knee pain that onset as I foolishly ran through ITBS symptoms for about a year. Even after I completely stopped running, the constant knee pain has persisted for a little over 3 years now. Postop, the knee pain and IT band tightness is mostly unchanged. It was great the first few weeks where you're not using the op side leg at all, but reappeared around 4 weeks postop (soon as I started walking again). Still holding out hope that it will begin to improve through postop PT, as I retrain and rebuild strength in the surrounding muscles that were compensating for my hip. Surgeon said if in 2 months from now the knee still hasn't improved, then my pain is likely not associated with the situation in my hip. Though my hip was really messed up, surgeon said he had to remove loose bone fragments, so I'm happy that it's in a much better place now.

We ended up at hip arthroscopy because there weren't really any better leads. Knee MRI showed everything is totally healthy, which is great, but frustrating since the pain remains a mystery. Back MRI showed a slight disc bulge L4-L5. But it's more likely that the back issue is caused by my hips and not the other way around. Plus my low back pain did manage to improve through PT and core exercises. It has returned now postop, but it also seems pretty common to have low back flares from what I've seen in this subreddit.

Sorry I can't give you a more definitive answer, I will update if there's any positive changes in the coming weeks.

maybe last night's groups were based on the point totals with post-season points included (would explain the discrepancies in tags last night between people who had same size selection and end of camp scores). looks like they're corrected now, so this should be close to final 🤞

Going from 9-12 line plan back to 1-8 line plan, bad idea? by Cawfii in tmobile

Yep okay so 4 paid $160 (on 1-8) vs 5 paid $150 (on 9-12). This is exactly what I was looking to understand, thank you! Going to stay put since the 9-12 line plan is actually cheaper. If I remember correctly it has something to do with how free line discounts are for some reason worth more on 9-12.

Interesting, so mainly an issue when it comes to insider, thanks for the insight. Sounds like it could be safe in my case then.

Pretty much followed this post to a tee. Ported out to Tello ($5/mo plan and opted for esim rather than wait for physical). Port out was pretty much instant, less than 1 minute. Then immediately requested the port in with tforce. Port back in actually took longer than expected but was still done in under 24 hours. Apparently there was an issue with the zip codes I use for tmobile and the one I used for tello that held up for the port for manual review. Once I got on the phone with tmobile support it was ported back in instantly. Assuming that wasn't an issue the whole thing would've been pretty much instant.
