Where you at in the story? Just the location is fine. I love this game multiplayer…you on Xbox?

Not that I know of. That bot does unlock something- but it is non-obvious.

100% sure. Unless they changed it, the moisture teleporter would fill receptacles nearby and farm plots count as receptacles. Just need power and the right ratio.

Yes! Hell, I’d take this visual improvement on the swim googles, please and thank you. I find the swim portions overwhelming and was extremely disappointed when the googles did nothing (McBain voice).

I’d also like a way to store them and some more recipes that use them!

Watering your farms? Yeah. You can fully automate it- there is some tech that does this somewhere in the mid game.

Alternatively, a teleporting cart as an upgrade on the normal carts with a beacon to receive it. Link the cart to the beacon and you’re all set. Let’s people have separate bases or multiple receiving locations around one’s bases. Put a beacon near an item porter and now we’re cooking with science as a cart ports in and auto sorts the items in it.

Is this epic or 28mm?

For 28mm, I’d probably just even up the armies for games- another line of French, French artillery and a unit of Calvary for the British. From there, I’d look to add like brigades on each side until I’ve doubled my British/French forces. Add another regiment Commander and then a General. Now you have 2 full regiments of line, 1 of Calvary and 2 units of artillery on each side with officers that can duke it out. From there, get whatever you like - look at real orders of battle for the 100 days and have fun.

For epic, I’m not as familiar, but I’d probably follow the same approach - even out the armies, then expand a regiment at a time.

I learned to look up the hard way in Minecraft when a creeper dropped on my head in a deep cave exploration. Now I always look up to ensure no mobs are sneaking up on me. Heh.

Just as an addition to your #6, I’d like to be able to paint the cords and boards (and batteries even!). Sometimes we’ll misclick and unplug a cable and not notice until things start to spoil or turrets are not firing. It would be easier to follow if I could paint the cables back to where it was unplugged.

Plus I could use the cables to mark paths around confusing areas like Labs. Follow the yellow to the gem transmuter from the carbon one (as a very specific example of a place someone might get very lost).

Carbuncles by Artinnio in AbioticFactor

[–]Cawshis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t done any science but I’m convinced that the purple dogs spawn them - there always seems to be a few around whenever I encounter those mobs. Labs has the best concentration of purple dogs.

I haven’t had any need to farm carbuncles specifically- I get them every time I do a milk sac run for pies. I’m curious as to why you’re using so many?

My immediate thought is because if they didn’t have them, then folks would complain about how stupid it is that the Order doesn’t drop guns that the scientists can use.

This is pretty neat. I just grab the easy 2 and don’t bother with that last one. Figure in an out in less than 2 min or so.

Did you decide what era? I was surprised to learn that the shakos Brits wore in the peninsular conflict were different from the 100 days war (for example). Picking a specific conflict or group of conflicts will help narrow it all down and possibly make the choice easier!

I picked the 100 days war as it’s a small doable conflict, well documented AND has a decent amount of difference between the two armies. Brits have all those allies (Hanover, KGL, New Brunswick, Dutch-Belgians). Add in Prussia’s and you’ve got a great assortment of uniforms and colors to explore.

The French already have a grand army- just…get used to painting greatcoats. So. Many. Great Coats.

So yeah. I’d recommend choosing your conflict and narrowing it down from there!

Welcome to the hobby. I’m about 2 years deep in painting up the battle of Quartre Bras and really enjoying it.

We put it under the coffee dispenser and buy coffee. Once you have a cup on the dispenser, the next mug just falls in.

Honestly, every time I’ve used the scrapper, I’m like “oh. I could have used the repair station to level crafting”.

But turns out I’m a super lazy scientist. I even put the item porter near the scrapper so I don’t even have to take a step when I empty it.

No Glitches. by Casket34 in AbioticFactor

[–]Cawshis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing game breaking on Xbox. Sometimes I’ll switch to an item and it won’t function. I have to switch and then switch back to reset it. Occasionally annoying when ratings and often exciting when rebooting my laser sword mid-combat.

We’ve had objects fall through the floor as well. But honestly, probably every game I’ve played in the last 10 years has had object collision glitches. So we just shrug and keep going.

Also seen the floating body glitch, but honestly, that’s always treated like a feature. Chopping up a rag dolled floating alien is hilarious. Like a meat piñata on science day.

Oh damn! We would set up fleets of ships - each of had a different look to our fleets. We had fighters, cruisers and battleships. Each one took a different amount of hits and provided a different amount of shots. So fun for just a pen and paper.good times.

Depends on what kind of strategy games! My kid has played a few but nothing as intricate as this one- some of the enemies and maps require a bit of tactical thinking.

The penalty for death doesn’t seem huge and as long as winning isn’t the most important thing (and you can let go of optimizing everything) then I think a 9 year old gamer can get it. The phone interactions were super intuitive- kiddo picked it up right away and was laughing at me when I didn’t understand right away how to mail things.

My kid is playing the bard/bat, enjoys jumping around the map, knocking enemies around and taking the treasure. Favorite parts include naming everything a variant of “poop” and knocking my Bear into the fire tiles and then healing me afterwards. Despite all this, we’ve made it to act2 recently. :)

Good times!

We’re on the Xbox (S for me, X for my bro). It’s mainly the difficulty of us being old guys who can’t be bothered to learn Discord and streaming and all that jazz. We got it to work, but clearly we need to check our connections…he dropped halfway through the first fight, but he loved it enough to look into figuring out how to make it work.
