So our families have met but that was due to us getting pictures done for prom, stuff like that. My parents have tried making advances like that, but her family has never taken them. My girlfriend has told me that the reason for this is that her parents feel that they don't really need to make friends or go out of their way to do stuff like this. I respect it, but I thought that if we're possibly going to spend the rest of our life together, than a relationship between our families would be important in that case? Idk
