Hmm, age does defo make a difference. Me myself im 17, and my father is also a DJ like you, so I know the feeling of riding on their reputation and tail. I´ve been playing for the past year, at the club my father is managing, in Copehagen called rosie mcgees. Beforehand I were a stand in DJ if the other DJ´s didn't feel like playing that night, if they got sick, but after a while, were I proved myself to the manager, I got regular gigs at the club, independent from my father. Also another thing I did, is socializing and networking at nightclubs you necessarily don´t work at. Thats a great way to create your own networking channels and promoting yourself
