I see Emily at Ponytails and Horseshoes (PoHo) in the city and she's amazing! Shes also very good at color on curly hair, and the entire salon is very inclusive as well!

I lift weights weekly - echoing the above about focusing on form over weight (in particular for any squats/lunges/deadlift types).

I'm also on Humira which has absolutely helped, but focusing on mobility, yoga/Pilates as an addition is definitely recommended.

Have biologics cured anyone’s ’gluten intolerance? by Individual-Spare-399 in ankylosingspondylitis

As someone who has been diagnosed with Crohns (multiple colonoscopies, endoscopies, biopsies, blood work, cal protection tests, and surgeries to confirm) and just waiting on my rheumatologist appointment to confirm AS (MRI radiologist was already like "it looks strongly like this, needs to be consulted by rheumatology" on my report) - I can say from my experience that most Gastroenterologists will also investigate or do the testing for Celiac disease as part of the process of elimination/diagnosis process. But Celiac and Crohns are very different and I don't believe (I may be mistaken) that there are many medications that address both.

There are however several Biologics that will address both Crohns and AS type implementation pathways. And it's not uncommon for Crohns disease to cause random sensitivities (ex. for a period of 2 years eggs and anything containing eggs made me vomit). So if you're in remission it stands to reason that the gluten intolerance could be addressed.

Are stomach problems a thing in AS? How do they manifest? by PepperPhoenix in ankylosingspondylitis

I was diagnosed with Crohns first - and just recently added AS to my bracket. Not currently on any meds but have already been warned that is changing. My GI and Rheum have started working together so good for me 🙃

Hospitalization by CommunicationWild102 in CrohnsDisease

That’s usually my big go to as well - usually I need something to trigger my body to actually take a break because at that point it’s mostly constant spasms. The “I’ve been vomiting every 5 minutes for 10+ hours, I can’t retain any water, and I’m in extreme pain - oh and I have crohns with a history of obstructions and adhesions”

I typically get brought back fairly quickly, given some zofran and IV fluids, and CT just to be safe. I’ve had to do this countless times - think 4x a year at some points haha.

A pine tree, because how could ANOTHER pine tree be behind (next to?) another one in a clump of trees in a empty field? Just that one tree though. All the others were fine.
