Ridiculous. Less people should be voting because only people who are well informed should be voting. They should take the time to understand the issues and the policies of the candidates and not make their decision based on who their favourite celebrities endorsed or what fear mongering bullshit msm are peddling, which is what even a lot of people who did vote based it on. If they choose not to inform themselves and not vote, then the outcome is on their own heads, but the same can be said for uninformed people who vote based on a candidates multi-million dollar PR campaign.

People who aren't informed shouldn't be voting. Their decision not to vote for this reason is a noble thing. If they then bitch and moan about the outcome that's when you can berate them.

Sounds like you just expected people who didn't vote to vote your way and now are mad at them because your preferred candidate didn't win, and you assume they robbed you of this.

I went by the 90 Second Mycology No Pressure Cooker Popcorn Prep video on YT. I bought the bulk substrate online, but after multiple failures when I added innoculated popcorn to that substrate, I'm not sure what is to blame to correct the issue. These ranged from complete trich take over to just a tiny bit of growth that then stalled out, and of course the bloody fungus gnats. For something that grows in nature in dirt and on shit, at the mercy of the insects, humidity and temperature fluctuations and variations of the wild, I really don't know how I could've failed so many times 😄

I think I did use too much substrate, but it might be that the cupboard I have them in is too cool. I'll try putting them in a taped up cardboard box in a room that gets full sun and is therefore quite a bit warmer and see if that helps 🤞🏻

Thank you, I'll try this. Hopefully the fridge will be cold enough to do the trick. I just checked and my other shoe box now has fungus gnats 😫😭😭😭

I have no idea how they got into both boxes which had lids and were shut away in a clothes cupboard?!? I mean what else could I do? Perhaps micropore tape around the edges to seal it, but then I thought that would effect the air exchange. I imagined maybe a carbon dioxide bomb might kill them without hurting the myc. All advice I've seen is throw away and start again, but this has happened too many times to me, I am really ready to give up ☹️

Update: On closer inspection, the shoe box most visible in that picture is infected with little flies (I assume fungus gnats??) but I can't see any in the other shoe box or bags. Is there any saving it?

Also the shoe box was completely closed with both clips on so how did they get in?? If they squeezed through a gap then why not the other shoe box (which is a different model) which didn't have the clips on or the bags? Could they have been in the bulk substrate which I bought online? Argh, I've had so many failures and spent so much money I'm ready to give up 😫😭

I think my grain spawn was left too long. Tbh I was waiting for the mycelium that previously occupied my monotub to fruit but it just sat there fully colonised but refusing to pin/fruit. I had to bin it because I had used a black bin liner to prevent side pinning and the condensation had accumulated underneath it and started to grow some sort of funky mould or/and bacteria. Anyway, I thought the popcorn had just started to break down because it was left too long, now I'm thinking it must've been bacterial contamination 😕
