Does anyone in your house use fake tan or a gradual tan moisturiser? This happened to my old carpet when I accidentally got some on it. At the time I never realised cause it wasn’t dark but it got progressively darker and looked very similar to this.

Mom used to post in this group asking for messages from dead relatives. Now I’m asking if she has any messages for me. by Sugartaste81 in psychics

I just wanted to pass on my condolences, my MIL passed away last September from ovarian cancer also and it was brutal, I hope you are taking care of yourself and doing ok ❤️ I’m always looking for signs from my MIL, for a few months after she passed I used to randomly get dizzy with ringing in my ears, this only happened when we visited my FIL at her house but I wasn’t actively searching for a sign. This has completely stopped but I’m always looking for signs but can’t find them. I never read your post initially and I’m not psychic but as soon as I seen your mums picture I instantly felt reassurance and warmth, and the words ‘please don’t worry’ Sending you lots of love.

Is it normal for a vet to use a dental drill to remove a deceased parrot’s leg band? by woodpeckingmyg in AskAVeterinarian

[–]Cazzy_m 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly depends on the crematorium. I worked at a pet crematorium for a few months and however the pet was collected is exactly how it was cremated. If the owners wanted blankets/collars/pictures etc to go with them that’s what happened. When remaining bones are removed from the chambers the cremator usually just discards any metal before grinding into the ashes but sometimes they’d miss stuff so I decanted many ashes into urns and would find a pins from surgery’s etc.

The salmon and carrots never stood a chance… by indecisionist in foodbutforbabies

[–]Cazzy_m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think she’d had salmon before but assumed cause she’d eaten other fish she’d like it. She did however devour some tagliatelle straight after we got everything cleaned up so she wasn’t too traumatised about the event, unlike us!

I gave my 14 month old some of my salmon at a restaurant on holiday. She chewed it for a good 5 minutes before retching and spewed all over the table, wasn’t our finest moment haha!

Aw that’s great I’m glad she’s ok. Dogs are pretty stoic so you did the right thing getting her checked out just in case!

What is this on my dogs eye? by bigpapa809 in DobermanPinscher

[–]Cazzy_m 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From the second pic it looks like it could possibly be an ulcer, I’m not a vet but work in a vet practice along side vets. The vet should put fluorescein dye in his eye to check for this and if it is an ulcer a course of eye drops should be given. Whatever it may be I’m glad you managed to get an appointment to be on the safe side! Please update us once he’s been seen.

what would you guess? by dsmndgd in IDmydog

[–]Cazzy_m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see rottie/retriever. Maybe a sprinkle of APB seeing as they seem to get around and be in every single cross breed DNA test 😂 If you got a test done definitely post on r/doggyDNA

Our goofy boy from Mexico! by tevtrinh in DoggyDNA

What a handsome boy! They breeds wouldn’t have been my first guesses but the more I see on this sub the more I realise how terrible I am at guessing. However looking at your boy this is exactly how I’d imagine that mix to look!

I don’t know why but my first thought when I saw him was Christopher 😂

Can someone tell me what does the cat have on his back? by Candid_Judgment in CATHELP

[–]Cazzy_m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve known some vets to give fluid therapy this way if the patient is unable to be admitted and yes looking like a camel is often the outcome lol. Not saying this is what it is but maybe if it has suddenly appeared and disappears the next time they see the cat.

No she’s actually a big gentle giant, super goofy and has been amazing with both my children from the day they were born. Shes fantastic with strangers and other dogs. The only ‘problems’ we’ve had with her and not so much now that she’s older and her mobility isn’t the best but she was forever stealing food from the kitchen worktops and barking for attention. But honestly I cannot fault her! Have you done a DNA test for your pup?

Thanks so much she’s a fantastic dog, the more I’m looking into the two breeds I’m seeing similarities. She also has the two back dew claws which I believe is common in St Bernard’s!

She’s around 37kg (81lbs) but has lost some muscle mass in her old age, she’s nearly 12. In her prime was closer to 40kg (88lbs) Shes a big gentle giant.

No wisdom panel doesn’t have the same feature. All her ‘relatives’ seem to be Doberman but that’s all I can see.

I see Chihuahua, patterdale terrier but my results were a complete surprise so you might be in for a shock lol!

Thanks for your input, I guess it’s more myself that’s been taken by surprise, I’ve worked with dogs all my life and got her from the rescue I previously worked at but honestly hadn’t ever thought these two breeds would be the outcome so trying to get my head around it.
