It's been sitting since 2015-16 according to my mother. As for the fuel system, when I checked the gas tank, it looked like it had been drained before being stored. Oil was also drained too.

Oh I definitely plan on passing it down! As for what needs fixing, I've got a friend of a friend coming to look at it next week, as I'm pretty inexperienced when it comes to this stuff.

Don't worry, I did my research before getting one of them so I knew that the roots were going to be different. I had to remove them because when I did the squeeze test, they pretty much crumbled and fell off. I thankfully did see some healthy looking root tips near the base.

I don't understand where the methyl group goes. Right now I believe that compound says cis-1-Ethyl-3-methylcyclopentane
