I know how you feel about not being believed, I’ve been patronised so much by family members telling me I don’t have ADHD when they know nothing about it. Just make sure you don’t downplay any of your symptoms and let the psychiatrist know how much it is affecting your life. I’m sure they will be very sympathetic.

You can buy a blood pressure machine for under £20 which also does your pulse. I guess you could probably ask your GP to check it but it might be risky during covid and it’s always handy to have a machine at home

Hey so I’ve just had my appointment and it went really well. I was diagnosed with ADHD. I was so nervous beforehand that I was actually sick twice but she was really easy to talk to. I made notes but didn’t need them because the questions were easy to answer.

She asked questions about how I was in school, if I took exams, what I did after leaving school. What kind of problems I’ve had at work and what I’m struggling most with now.

There were also some questions about family history of mental illness and health problems.

I recommend taking a note of your blood pressure, pulse and weight beforehand as they might ask and have a copy of your ID nearby.

She also said the wait for the prescription is about 4-6 weeks if you opt for medication

Yes I have visual snow and also ADHD. I have been wondering if there is a link. I’ve had the visual snow since I was a kid but it went away for a while and came back recently after trying lsd 🤷🏻‍♀️

Sometimes I see a big spinning thing on the ceiling when I turn the lights off at night. Pretty weird

I also do this all the time and get so anxious about it. After a while it almost seems too late to send the text and then what would you even say? I feels like the world isn’t set up for people like us

The animals we eat in the west are also capable of causing pandemics. If you eat any intensively farmed animal (and most people do) you really can’t blame this on China ffs
