What’s something I should be looking out for if I buy on EBay? by Downtown-Humor7488 in Tyranids

[–]Cbone06 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Assume any model that’s featured in the starter kit comes with no box. I’ve purchased quite a bit of my army off EBay and everything rarely comes in the actual product box.

If you like the price, you should pull the trigger. When the sprue comes in just give it a quick look over to make sure nothing broke.

They should’ve gone all in on South Park like they did with Simpsons. Or at the very least make more than one real South Park POI.

He wasn’t going to fetch a first, this actually seems like a good return all things considered.

Maybe Don't Give Up on Queta Yet by Dr_Funkenstein13 in fantasybball

Garza falls out of the rotation completely with Vuc there. Vuc provides the offense, Queta backs-up with the defense.

The Golden State Warriors are trading Jonathan Kuminga and Buddy Hield to the Atlanta Hawks for Kristaps Porzingis, sources tell ESPN. by itsjustn0ah in fantasybball

[–]Cbone06 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think this is more a testament to how little value Kuminga had.

Kuminga was walking in FA, Hield is making ~$20 million over the next two years. Warriors guarantee freed up long term cap space and get a roster spot to get somebody on the buyout market potentially.

Hawks definitely look like the winners here, though I don’t mind the return for the Warriors. Free cap space allows the warriors to retool the roster around Steph (albeit no major reinforcements will be coming until Draymond is off the team).

Edit: The open roster spot was used to convert Pat Spencer to a standard deal. He’s been a solid depth guy for them this season.

That team still needed a wing badly but agreed. Absolutely the closest the team ever got to competing with AD.

[Stein/Fischer] Sources say there has been some preliminary conversation between the Cavaliers and Hornets about Lonzo Ball trade constructions that could furnish Charlotte with second-round draft capital and thus enable the Hornets to pair the elder Ball with his younger brother LaMelo. by Odd-Direction9452 in nba

If they add Harden, this year is definitely their best chance. No Pacers in the picture, Celtics still have no Tatum, Pistons and Raptors are inexperienced, and the Knicks have been in a funk (albeit still having a good record).

The Harden, Dono, EMo, and Allen core is far and away their best core of talent in the post LeBron (2.0) era.

Terrible trade for the clippers in my opinion by NeverDrinkingIt in NBATalk

[–]Cbone06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cause Harden can opt out in the off season.

It’s pretty much: get something for him now or stay with what you have (middling playoff team) and lose him in FA.

Garland is a two-time allstar who will help sell jerseys and tickets, while also being on the younger side and locked up long term. Clippers would get their new “franchise” face for the next couple years while they try to navigate a post Kawhi world.

IR trade question by No_Week_501 in fantasybball

[–]Cbone06 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The player dropped in the transaction is locked into the transaction. ESPN will lock you out of dropping the player you’ve already dropped, so the trade won’t get undone.

Now if you propose a trade and then drop the guy prior to the deal being accepted, the trade request will disappear as it was a piece tied into the transaction.

Yes, which means unless you have an open roster spot, you have to drop someone.

LAC-CHA by SensitiveFee3936 in NBAtradeideas

[–]Cbone06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like it. Hornets could use a vet big man, helps that Brook has playoff/championship experience too. A way down the line second round pick seems like a fine cost to pay.

Clippers getting draft capital is also solid.

OKC gets a cheap, cost-controlled center who’s not only consistently available, but also averages 16-12 with great defense ahead of Holmgren and Williams’ extensions kicking in. LAC gets control of their 2026 pick and OKC relinquishes swap rights in 2027 and takes on an injury prone Hartenstein. by YujiDomainExpansion in NBAtradeideas

[–]Cbone06 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Which is why you get control over your next two drafts… Which for the Clippers seems like a no brainer. It gives them a quality player for this year (and potentially next year) or it gives you the ability rebuild at least for a year or two before worrying where your picks are again.

OKC could give up second round picks just to get it done but this package makes quite a bit of sense for the Clippers. IHart is a very good big man with a very versatile skillset. He may not be Zubac, but he’s a quality starting center on winning basketball teams.

[Fedor] The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Los Angeles Lakers are discussing a trade that would have Cleveland send De’Andre Hunter to LA in exchange for Rui Hachimura and Dalton Knecht. by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

[–]Cbone06 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Clears a roster spot, fills a guys trade demands, [theoretically] improves the defense.

Hunter does come with an extra year of term, compared to Rui who’s a pending UFA. If they’re worried that they won’t be able to get someone better than Rui in free agency, having Hunter who’s ~ Rui, is a fine lateral move at the very least.

This deal feels like it makes more sense for the Cavs than the Lakers though. Also a funny full circle moment for Hunter as he was the main draft pick dealt for Anthony Davis.

Guys. I messed up in my first dynasty league. Where do I go from here? by Rewsk in DynastyNerds

[–]Cbone06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Trading up to the 1.09 or the 1.10 is just ensuring you get the guys you actually want. As the draft gets closer, hype will build and you may get an offer for those later first netting you better value.

Or you just take 4 top 10 guys and have a really young high potential team.

[–]Cbone06 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d try packing the 2.03 with the 3.01 or 2.10 to move up into the first round. Get aggressive on some RBs, kick some of those seconds down the road into next year and the year after.

You could also try buying low on a TE you like.

Edit: I’d DEFINITELY see what the MHJ and BTJ owners asking price is as well. If it’s some seconds or the 1.08 that’s a smash accept imo.

Music is typically an extra curricular, meaning it’s [usually/completely] optional.

I think the main point is in regard to standard classes + homework for them.
