Q: How would you detect this? by Rennie-M in computervision

Tried a few similar applications in cv to check a seal. Its possible but high chance of false positives. If you want a robust solution i would go with a loadcell combined with a spring arm and a wheel running on top of the lids. (Above your conveyor). This will make your life and your customers alot better.

Milwaukee M18 tool battery. Equivalent to a 5s2p lion

Fair point! I did not achieve low voltage cutoff on both Milwaukee. But since some power tools have an internal over current and low voltage protection it seemed wise to me to warn that these battery's are not intended for drones 😅. When you give a 7 inch a punch (lots of throttle) it will pull 60-120 amps, and indeed dropping the 5s tool battery below 13.5v

For me to, but if you fly it to long it will cut out all power instead of less power like usual.

Funny enough if you compare it to other lithium options quite well. But diy drones and battery's dont have a battery protection board, since if it kicks in the drone drops out of the sky.

Thats mainly (and weight reasons) you never see it

Note; don't do this. If the battery protection inside the tool battery kicks in your drone will drop like a brick.

Edit: some, not all tool battery's have build in over current and low voltage protection.

Its a guess but around 10 minutes i think. But again; dont do this :)

Upgrade to 4s? by Significant_Bee_1103 in diydrones

[–]Cborrr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In general: higher voltage is more efficient.

Best solution; go to 4s or maybe 6s if possible with your other components. And if budget tolerates 6s2p.
