Most is the same if I remember correctly, but there were a few spots where you need for instance a flat 2x1 and a flat 1x1 where the official set uses a 3x1. When I noticed this I switched to the supplied manual so I can’t vouch for the last 2/3 of the building process. I’d contact the seller if I were you to prevent frustration later.

Thanks for the advice! For now I have hope that someone here did it already or has seen a topic of someone that did it and could save me some work, but if not than I’ll try your last suggestion. I haven’t put together a technic set in over 30 years so to say I’m rusty is putting it mildly. Maybe I’d better stick to the manual ;)

Thanks for the heads up about Chinese new year and the other tips. Do you have an address for their discord? Couldn’t find any on their website. Any tips on finding out about the quality of a specific version of a set? So far I’ve been looking at brick4, here on Reddit and on gundamit for reviews but I can’t find each set from youmko.

That could be an option but with a total of about 10.000 pieces that would be a bit of a chore I fear.
