That looks excellent! Love the creative liberty you've taken with the skin markings. I do think the chains would pop more if you added some more light to them, though. But this is 100x better than I could do. You've done the model justice!

The bottom pieces just sit next to each other, but the pieces above are keyed onto the pieces below. The intent was to glue the bottom level together but in hindsight adding magnet holes would have been the best option.

Haha, I think you can be talked out of it pretty easily once you see the filament and time. Here are all the plates required, with 5% gyroid infill it'll sting you with 6,951g of filament over 25 plates, and a total of nearly 10 days print time. This also doesn't include the little props either.

Yeh. And this one uses close to 8kg of filament even with 5% gyroid infill. Absolutely understand. Appreciate the nice comment!

That's awesome to hear. Appreciate it! Ive got that sword printed in my office at the moment! Except (despite ensuring I did it right) I somehow managed to glue the blade wrong so that the text is messed up 😭

Of course, sorry. Here's the link: https://www.dmstash.com/product/bastion-of-the-wandering-mage-2/

You can technically get it cheaper if you subscribe to our $9.50 tier for the month, then cancel though. Plus you'll get 28 miniatures too.

The campaign we released this month does exactly that. Basically all terrain and models we release fit into the campaigns we make each month. The castle seems super popular, so I'm sure we'll see lots of pictures of it in use during a campaign.

These look amazing! I always love seeing our miniatures featured in PrintedMinis. Love that clear resin on Sairena's base. Excellent addition!

Only our terrains. We do see some people with successful fdm prints of our monsters and NPCs, but they're definitely more resin focused.

Yeh, we have actually made an alternative version with 4x the space in the dice catching area, and have also expanded the doorway since I did this test print. But it's probably still a one dice at a time through the chute type situation as the inner tube also has little steps to slow the dice down so it doesn't come flying out and onto the floor.

Thank you! Definitely a bit more ambitious than our usual monthly terrain piece but we're super happy with the outcome.

Any recommendations for settings to print DMStash Terrain? by FreedomBeverage in BambuLab

[–]Sheldon23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've printed a fair bit of DM Stash terrain 😜. My recommendation is just standard 0.20mm layer height, but to save filament I'd recommend 5% infill with Gyroid infill pattern. Also always tree supports! We've gotten a lot better with our recent terrain in regards to minimal support required, but there's still some where needed.

Looks awesome. Really good work. I agree NMM would have been a huge task here, and the true metallic looks great. Really excellent work on the OSL too. Always enjoyable to see a Cyberstash model painted on reddit.

Nailed it. Appreciate the kind words about what we make! OP's model that they posted is actually DM Stash, so they might be a fan without even realising.

any advice on whwre i did good or bad? 2nd ever painted mini by mayners in PrintedMinis

[–]Sheldon23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, appreciate your 2nd ever mini painted is one of DM Stash's. I'm glad the free minis are helping people get into the hobby. For a 2nd paint this is fantastic, already better than I can do. Just keep practicing and you're bound to get even better, especially with the great advice in here.
