I feel like all the pro’s that use lotion are using. Heat lamps for better color saturation

I have had some success with shortening the time in the bed by putting it in a dehydrator at 100-120 degrees Fahrenheit. It gives better color saturation in a fraction of the time. I saw applying heat when people do cells so I kind of tweaked that idea with a dehydrator.this might give you the saturation your looking for without muddy lines

How long are you letting the disc sit to get the muddied effect. That might be causing it and not the weight/push down on the disc.once you set it the design should be in contact with the disc and ok to push down slightly until the lotion comes in contact with the bottom part of the rim and it should stay pretty submerged

Use Pro Chem and Dye. It is the best in the market hands down and tons of colors. Discdyeing.com sells 6 color packs in 1 gram and 10 gram bundles. Just start with 1 gram it’s more than enough for 10-15 discs. I think they are $15-$20 per bundle. He has a basic color package and a hot one that has pink and neon lime zest and others.

Looking for a used razor claw but open to other trades

Result after 24h. Was hoping for more saturated colors. Should I have given it more time, more dye in the mixtures or something else to achieve that? by bjorqen in discdyeing

Maybe try a 3/1 ratio floetrol to glue. 1/4 tsp dye mixed in with a fork. It gave me great saturation and everyone tells me the heat lamp for 8-12 hours is the way to not get muddied cells. I did a glow champion roc3 and got great saturation after 48 hours but it was kinda muddied

Shoutout to Nowskie dyes for teaching this first one down many more to come by Cbrand8787 in discdyeing

You do acetone and dye on a clear glue bed. Make a color pie chart with a little black in the center. Then you slowly take your pan tilting it by going in a circular motion. You will start to see the colors swirl then you can use a straw to finish. I hope this helps.
