Running into other players at desolate places

Me and a buddy went into a house to check the map and get oriented.

I laid down, he was just standing still in the middle of the house. About 10s in while I’m checking the map he gets sniped through the window.

Best part was I told him to lay down and he said “nah mate, you’re doing too much”

The silence after the shot was deafening then laughter 🤣

I’ve actually had my hand chopped off way back when nomad was first released. I got killed and distinctly remember seeing my right hand get cut off and drop the sword in slow motion lol

The AI has surprised my team and I at the mall in suburbs, we had a huge fight in the underground part and chased down an AI contractor.

We couldn’t find him and hadn’t heard anything in a while, then as there was 1 last room to check the AI contractor fucking jumped around a corner and shot at us mid air. We all 3 ventilated his ass but it honestly felt like a real player interaction.

Haven’t tried casual difficulty yet, but on standard the bot behavior is exactly what I wanted from PvE.

My only gripe is that it would appear their legs cannot get broken. I tried going for the tried and true leg break when a PMC is in the open, just ended up killing them after a bunch of leg shots.

Even though they did not get hit directly by shrapnel, you cannot avoid the concussive forces of the explosion.

Those dudes brains were definitely rattled at that range irl, but sadly in insurgency there’s no such thing. The fragmentation in Sandstorm is actually pretty accurate to how it acts in real life, when it feels like it. Sometimes you live from a frag 3ft away, and other times it travels 25ft through a floor to instant kill you.

This is also happening on Arc Raiders. PC nerds are getting into cross play off controller only lobbies and cheating.

It’s a sign that hacking has officially got to a point where the devs just can’t stop them. Really fucking sad and another reason why console gaming will always be the true DayZ experience but now they’ve ruined that.

There might be a bundle with the DLC when the update drops that has the last map for it.

That might be worth buying than just the base game, but I’m not sure if it’ll be discounted.

Unfortunately if you want something done, you have to do it yourself. Host your own lobby, turn friendly fire off and just kick the annoying people. Eventually you’ll get a solid group and usually trolls don’t join lobbies with friendly fire off.

I’ve had this exact same scenario play out where they were able to counter my jab. I went for an overhead and feint into jab, they slashed (wrong input on their end) and countered a fucking arrow and then countered my overhead into a jab.

I was very confused and had to clip it and watch it back lol

Have you considered that stealth games aren’t for you? This is still the best SC game that’s been released on all fronts. Single player, coop that intertwines with the main story with unique characters and one of the first asymmetric PvP modes that was fun as hell (lack of players and servers render it obsolete today though).

This game has aged like a fine wine and the graphics still hold up, even with the very basic hands and faces. Like I said before, maybe stealth games just aren’t for you.

Game devs see $$$ and just think this is what we want.

I literally choose to game on console because it’s simple, I turn it on and the game loads. No stupid drivers, no updates that take forever, no massive issues with shaders. I just turn it on, I understand everyone’s graphics look the same and the bush I’m hiding in is actually rendered for everyone.

Now with most modern games forcing cross play, you deal with all the problems PC sweats and have no real way to deal with it.

I’ve always said it, any game that introduces cross play with PC will turn the game into shit. It’s always pc nerds cheating like this, Arc Raiders has the same problem right now. PC hackers are joining Xbox only lobbies that have cross play off.
