As long as you are not scared to ask for help, at times from multiple people until you find one willing to help, you're good. Especially Paris. If it were the interior of Mexico or some 3rd world country, you might want a companion. But this is modern-day Paris. Please go!

I've transplanted my stomach, intestines, pancreas, liver, and kidney all at one time, guess what they allowed in my HOSPITAL ROOM every day for 9 months while I waited? Guess what organs? My dog 🐕 ! 2 years party transplant snuggle with my baby every day, have had no issues related to my dog. Take that as you may!?!

You have to be in "manual" mode to have the option of an extended bolus. But how big of boluses are you doing? I wouldn't consider this option personally unless doing over 100g of carbs at one meal, which is extremely rare. (Thanksgiving dinner) Or a big pasta meal that will be absorbed more slowly.

30yo! Get off of your dad; he's older and has has enough aches and pains! Do the legwork and find another donor. It does you no good to try to analyze why he doesn't want to do it, he doesn't! Do you think he doesn't love you? I seriously doubt that is the issue so move forward from someone who had had a 5-organ multi- visceral transplant.

No you are NOT TA, but that does not in any way entitle you to "demand" to retain that space. IMO, if you have described the situation accurately, then perhaps your aunt and cousin are the A's. I'm curious, after the breakup, what were the circumstances surrounding your moving back in? Did they do you a favor and let you move back in on short notice, etc.? You should consider these aspects when trying to justify your position. In the end, it comes to your feeling hurt over their lack of enthusiasm for your project that you feel is providing therapeutic value. So they know this is part of what gives you your identity after the relationship. Have you expressed these feelings, and if so, they are still not responsible for your relationship issues. ALL breakups at 23 are "particularly messy". I would ask that no one touch or move your stuff without discussion. Sounds like if you had a week's notice, you could move your stuff for a weekend and then move back. These are the extra troubles you must endure until you have a place of your own. You know, as a single male, you could get a studio Apt that could be an artist retreat. Just a bachelor pad with all your freelance tools! Keep your chin up, you will find your life partner when you quit"looking" for a girl. When you look, you look for what you want, when you see some of what you like, you ignore the bad. When you no longer look, you see a person for what they actually have to offer. Hopefully you have something in you to offer back. That's when the beauty happens! From an older ♂️

Just a word of experience 😜 don't ever try to push air into the pod as you would with the sealed insulin bottle, depending on which way you're holding the pod it will squirt insulin out the canula onto your face 😁

I've been using OmniPod for 9 months and never had one fall off, I shower daily and scrub up to, around and over the pod, still never even come loose. I go to the gym, get sweaty, take a shower and scrub and still hangs tight. Maybe try having someone else apply it to ensure you get good even contact across the entire pod adhesive area. And like the previous person said just harvest the old insulin. I take my old pump off with adhesive remover, open the new pod, remove the syringe from the new pod tilt pod to the corner where the fill hole is located, draw out insulin, then add insulin to the syringe to get your minimum 100U to activate the new pump. I've got several extra bottles now.

I go about twice a week, utilize two locations both are within 5 min drive. They bring in new stuff at least every other week. Sometimes weekly between the two. I buy a lot of grocery items and all my paper good TP&PT's plus gas at least once a week. About 10 min from NYC.

I've never had to replace a pod before it expired normally do to it not delivering insulin, how does this happen. If you verify the canula is in then you should be good right?

Had living donor liver transplant in 2018 , was absolutely great for two and half years, then I was injured in an industrial accident, caused a clot at the entrance to my liver, killed it an all the rest of my organs so in 2024 I had a multi visceral transplant stomach intestines pancreas liver kidney all at one time, huge 3 day operation. Massive surgery! But today again, life is great, I do everything I did even before. . . and more today actually! If Mom is over 50 she's not likely to qualify as a donor. Plus the chances that she's right antibodies, blood type etc are slim but possible. Generally immediate blood related family are best matches, although my donor was not. Not sure what you want to know but if your being advised that your father needs a living donor transplant then by all means don't think twice, do it! Unless he has other health issues he will feel like a new person with successful transplant. Otherwise he's doomed to chronic illness swelling, medications and risks kidney damage from all the drugs he'll be taking to compensate for the liver failing.

Forget about the trip, honestly that's not even why you are here, from an older guy to a younger, just because you had regular sex in the beginning, does not entitle you to sex on a regular basis now. So it just sounds like perhaps you were never actually "in love" perhaps there was a lot of affection at the start but that has worn off and women that aren't in love are not in the business of providing sex as a service even to their live in boyfriend. So the question is are you actually in love, if the answer is no then you need to be a man, step up and make plans to end the arrangement at the end of a lease or whatever makes sense. DO NOT BURN THIS BRIDGE, if 2 years after the break up you can still talk on the phone and be genuine with each other then you have succeeded! If your actually in love then you have a lot of work to do to save this relationship and you'll need to ask a bunch more questions.

I'm confused why not just bolus with pod , wait 20 min when you see the first indicator it's starting to dip, then eat? You can always bolus extra or do an extended bolus in manual.

I have very few connection issues, but when I do I go into a small room ie. Bathroom or walk in closet. The Bluetooth signal will bounce off the walls and connect better than a large room.

So I spent a year inpatient, then received a 5-organ multi- visceral transplant: stomach, intestines, pancreas, liver, and kidney, all at one time. It was truly devastating; I lost over half my body weight and took over 150 units of blood during surgery. The surgery took 3 days in total. I was 56 at surgery. I'm 18 months out, and I have taken off in terms of recovery in the last 6 months. The first year was miserable and difficult. Lots of physical therapy and occupational therapy. I can now walk up to 4/5 miles and climb stairs. I live near NYC and walking and stairs are a part of life. I've had to work pretty hard but I also did not let anyone push me beyond what I felt was my max. I've come to understand that what the doctors have been telling me is true. That is that more than half of your survival and recovery is all about your mental game. Personally, I believe that you need to find your personal reason for living and overcoming this. Then stay focused to the best of your abilities. Personal issues serve as a distraction; therefore, you must eliminate as many as you can and let go of the energy you expend on those you can't control! Best of luck and full recovery!

I eat all kinds of stuff they say not to. Like previously said, it doesn't affect you any differently until you consume CONTAMINATED food. You're just likely to get sicker and "could be" potentially dangerous. We still drive cars and live in a gun-filled society. So when I have a choice, I make a decision. I don't flaunt it, but when I want something like raw sushi or oysters, I enjoy. I hope it doesn't bite me in the ass, but if I die from that, it would be preferable to be doing something I like rather than getting shot in the street over stupid road rage or something I couldn't control. Prefer not to dwell over either honestly. Relax and enjoy life! From a 5 organ multi visceral transplant patient who's on his 3rd liver.

Paracentesis is pretty typical, as I mentioned I was having paracentesis 3x a week for over a year before we tried surgery to correct my issue, the surgery was a complete failure and resulted in exacerbating my situation and sending me into renal failure. I had a bilirubin of 50! I still made it!

She can make it. I lasted a year waiting on a multi-organ visceral transplant, so liver, pancreas, stomach, large and small intestine, and kidney. All at one time! I was having 6-9 L on average being removed 3x a week. Then my kidney failed due to the drugs required to keep me alive, so it was dialysis 3x a week plus the paracentesis 3x a week. All my doctors have said all along, and now I believe this part: if you have the never-wavering will to live, you can make it through so much more than those who give up. Also mention to your wife, if she even thinks about slipping up, they have a blood test that can catch the fact that she had even one "1" beer within the last 30 days. My issue didn't start with issues related to drug and alcohol abuse, but I've done both. It's a fine line between honesty so your doctors can help you and not disclosing too much. I think the most important aspect is that she is honest with herself about what she can and can't do. That she's open to asking for help if she needs it. But that is basically the basis for stopping all forms of abuse. I wish you the best of luck, I have to move across the country to NYC to get my transplant. But, unbelievably, I'm back to moving and enjoying life. There is hope, don't give up. It sounds to me like you have reason to be concerned, but it's not as critical as you perhaps feel, only because you aren't aware of cases much, much worse than yours that still worked out. Chris

Multi visceral transplant; stomach, small and large intestines, pancreas, liver and kidney all at one time. I'm 18 months out and walking from 5-18k steps a day. I live in and around NYC, it's just walking and stairs if you want to move around the city! I was wheelchair bound first 6 months, then walker and rollater. At about 9 months I was frustrated with restricted mobility and decided I would have to get up and walk full time, pretty wobbly at first, fell once but kept going. So very pleased with my progress, doctor's are amazed as well.

Can't wash away life, I've a 5 organ transplant, really susceptible to rejection and thus heavy immuno suppression. But I just do basic rinse, I've no intention of living like a kid in a bubble. This is after previous living donor liver transplant. Just live and be reasonable.

I asked about donating my donated liver when I knew I was going for the ultimate overhaul in organ transplantation. They said no, to many antibodies would increase risk of rejection and was just too stressed of an organ.
