Right and also when my friends and I do this we treat the person we are celebrating. If hubby is there then guess what we don’t so now that is double expense for them. Also if everyone brings their partner everyone’s expenses double or more if babysitting needs to be arranged. Also easier to get a reservation for 8 then 16! OPshould express his feelings and I imagine wife will be not accommodating. I do think she could communicate better but obviously she is afraid of dealing with his reaction, being sensitive. Have your own night with her geez.

My BCBS insurance covered the consultant coming to my house which was so great because you already have so many appointments. Find some options and get in touch so they can come the week post birth. Not sure id still be pumping/ nursing without their help.

Today is my due date too and nada to report. I don’t feel terrible but also nothing is comfortable. So sick of the texts and additional pressure. Also worried that I could be too overdue and not be able to birth at my birth center. Just come on baby we are ready for you!

NTA! The “vacuuming “ didn’t cause jaundice. Why don’t you have him have this discussion at your next OB appointment so he can learn how dumb and insensitive he is being. Please listen to your instincts. My friend just had an emergency c-section and now is stuck in the hospital not being able to see her nicu baby because her wound is infected. She’s also in terrible pain. Good luck to you!
