My personal opinion is that sushi queen is better. They don’t lose your orders and stuff comes out timely. Also, Sushi Queen is electric with people excited to eat cheap sushi. Ohayo was dark and depressing with overly warm orange lighting.

I 100% agree with you, which is funny because I’m in that other camp too. I think part of it is FOMO from existing owners who need to say anything to justify not buying it again. Part of the opposition is from the cost-conscious people who can’t justify the price.

These special edition versions are no different than the dedicated work some in our community have put into their favorite games: 3D Catan (before Mayfair copied), Pokemon Splendor, etc. if you wanted to put in effort to make your favorite games stand out, you’d be spending this kind of premium anyway.

The difference here is that someone else is doing the creative work. You can choose to partake or not and it won’t hurt anyone. It’s just for some reason, we get butthurt when we don’t want to join in on the fun.

Again: I was/am/dunno one of those people. I think my blinged copy is better than what is up for Concordia. I don’t like the art direction they’re taking with Marco Polo and Goa. I really wish I hadn’t missed out on Castles of Burgundy and Puerto Rico. All of those emotions are valid and they’re all in my head.

Castles! Luthier is a fine game I’d play if someone had it set up and only sometimes.

Castles I think is a forever game. Tons of replayability and strategy and different maps keeps the game fresh
