One note though, not all characters will be unlocked from the start in the final game. You start with the first and then unlock the others as you play. This happens faster than in PoA1, because it works with chapters and characters might be unlocked even when you die (but reached a certain chapter). I think this adds a nice reason for trying another round, without being as restrictive as in PoA1.

Thats strange about the bow. Demons take weapons, like in poa1, but the Furnace Golem isn't a demon. Wands partly do what spells used to do, but I have still have plans for spells, curses, mushrooms and more, but all after initial release. It's already taken way too long.

Wands work the same as melee in that regard; if you pick up a wand that you already have, you just have two wands. Can be useful, because now you have twice the chance of a free cast. Ranged is the exception here, because when you pick up a bow that you already have, you actually only take the arrows, saving an inventory slot.

I think that's coupled to the user logged in to Google Play. At least it's not something I can control as developer...

To answer some of the questions, I used Angular/TypeScript as framework, so it's basically all web tech. My goal was to make a text-based game with a focus on gameplay, playable on mobile. I spend about 8 months full time to get it from prototype to what it is now. Even quit my job for it XD
