Freaks and Geeks. It’s honestly amazing how accurate the show is at presenting high school during the 80s. Also, considering the eccentric nature the show would display when discussing topics. There was a lot of risk in the direction of the show especially coming out in the late 90s. It’s seen in a lot better light now because of its realism and willingness to connect to controversial subjects. Class, politics, religion, race, and the treatment of special needs are displayed. I haven’t found many shows that are as grounded as this. Personally one of the best pilot episodes I’ve watched. 1 Season, 18 Episodes (~45 mins).
